after my gastric bypass reversal
I hope I can help. Can you give me more information about whereabouts you live? What complications you are dealing with and how long ago you had surgery and how long you've had complications for? Do you have a bariatric surgeon you are under the care of? I reside in Minnesota, and in the Twin Cities, where there are several seasoned surgeons who do perform straight reversals like I had as by the time I had my reversal, I was just strictly reversed and not revised to another surgery. My reversal is more unique, even with the fact that those of us who are strictly reversed are in a unique category.
I'm more then happy to help you research this further, and you can find me on Facebook if you feel comfortable, I'm on Facebook as Lisa Kasen, and there is only 2 of us on Facebook with that name.If you don't feel comfortable, that's ok, I'm more then willing to try and help you on here.... Peace, Lisa
Cynthia, I did respond. I also did ask if you wanted to friend me on Facebook at least temporarily. If not, I'd be more then happy to try to continue discussing this further either on here, on Facebook without being Facebook friends (It's just harder to guarantee that messages will be read, so check your "other" folder for my response. So it's up to you what your comfort level is. We could do it on here, Facebook if you are comfortable even just temporarily or we can exchange email addresses...
Hugs, Lisa
No one is going to do a reversal when you are less than a month out (or probably less than a year out for that matter). Many people regret the surgery for the first months. Instead of search for posts on a reversal that no one is going to do (and focusing on the negative) search for positive posts on how to deal with the post-op depression, physical discomfort, and food mourning. Focusing on a reversal that isn't going to happen will do nothing but make you more miserable. It WILL get better.

You don't drown by falling in the water. You drown by staying there.
I had my rny by a highly respected surgeon in 2003. Over the past few years I have had chronic malnutrition and very serious anemia. A staple came out one year ago resulting in a lot of blood loss but was fixed easily. However, the malnutrition, no matter what I try to eat (or mostly drink) seems to absorb. I have to use a walker and crawl up and down stairs in my house. Some days I don't go downstairs at all; my husband brings me protein shakes mostly. I am sick of greek yogurt, etc. Then recently my rny opened up due to an ulcer and I lost almost half of my total blood supply; I was in the ICU (again) for 5 days getting blood transfusions. I have had PICC lines and three IVs at once, one in my neck which was particularly yucky. I got out of the hospital just 4 days ago and honestly can't remember the last real meal I have had. Months maybe? I am down to under 90 lbs and wear a size 0. This is not what I wanted. I also take the calafate and a bunch of other stuff - who knows if it does any good? I should by Immodium by the caseful, I take it 24/7. I wear diapers at night. I am 43. Just unfortunate, I guess. My thoughts are with you.
Peace, SG
