I had my reversal on October first of this year. I have had nothing but problems since. I have been told by my surgeon after many tests that I have /gastorparesis witch sucks because there is nothing I can eat or drink without vomiting. It got so bad that I started vomiting blood to the point they hospitalized me for 5 days. Now I have a picline in my arm going to my heart that is being feed by a backpack of medicine 24 hours a day. The doctor and the home nurses that come to my home now say it could last forever.has anyone els had a reversal done, or had this miserable condition? I feel hopeless as if there is no end to the agony I feel.Any insite would be great.

I haven't but am curious why you had the reversal done.  I am getting ready for surgery so I want to know  even about the horror stories.  I will add you to my prayer list.  Hopefully you will get to feeling better soon, and not be stuck with the pair (or constant medications!)

I have gastroparesis.  I take domperidone for it and I seldom have symptoms from it anymore.  Are you on meds for it?

Please note: I AM NOT A DOCTOR.  If you want medical advice, talk to your doctor.  Whatever I post, there is probably some surgeon or other health care provider somewhere that disagrees with me.  If you want to know what your surgeon thinks, then ask him or her.    Check out my blog.

I had my RNY in May 2011 and then earlier this summer started having major nausea and vomiting. I was diagnosed with Gastroparesis. The gastro Dr said my options were a reversal or a gastrectomy. My surgeon said that there was no guarantee the reversal would solve the Gastroparesis so I had the gastrectomy on Oct 18. It's been a tough go but I'm hanging in there. What prompted your reversal?

I only know of one person who has had a reversal, but once she had her RNY reversed she stopped coming to this site. I would be surprised if anyone with a reversal comes to this forum. You might want to retitle your post (or create a new one) if you are looking for others with gastroparesis (surely Kelly is not the only other one, but they might not open this post).

I hope you feel better soon.

I didn't have a reversal but did have to have PICC line with TPN. I only had that for 3 months! I feel for you. It is very difficult when ever you put something, anything in your mouth it hurts and comes right back up! I will be praying for you so they can figure out something to end your misery and make you feel better.
