I am losing weight but i dont seem to be losing that many inches around my waist anymore. I did at first but not know. Why is this. Is it because of the extra skin around my waist

It might be skin, but it is more likely that, at this moment in time, your body is taking the fat from some other area of your body. I had periods of time when my legs suddenly were smaller but my waist and hips had not changed much. Skin, in and of itself, isn't very voluminous.

I don't know how true it is, but I was told that the body GENERALLY tends to give up fat on the extremities first and the torso last as a protective mechanism since, in cold climates, the fat keeps the core warm. You can survive if you lose extremities to frostbite, for example, but must keep your core (and the blood that the heart supplies to the brain) warm.

You don't drown by falling in the water. You drown by staying there.

So far it is taking the longest for me to lose from my calves - weird.  I think it varies from person to person.
