PLEASE update your profile :)

Please update your profile.....and this is why I ask.

When you ask a question, it is really hard to answer it if we don't know when your surgery was. What is 'normal' pain at 10 days out certainly is not normal at 6 months out. It is the same with diet, emotional issues, weight loss and about everything else.

Lots of us here want to be helpful, but it is difficult when we either have to ask when you had surgery, go to your profile to see if you blogged about it or even look at your past posts to see if you mentioned it in one of those.

To do this go to "My Account" in the upper right side of this page. Then click on "Profile". On the left side of that page, right above your avatar (or below where your screen name) it says "Customize Profile" Then, under the avatar there is a option for "My History", click on that. There is an option to "Add Surgery" There you enter your surgery type, surgery date and surgeon.

By doing this, you will have that show on your post and that will make it easier to answer your questions. If you are pre-op, just mention that in your post!

Please enlightened

I agree completely. If we are going to be part of a team here trying to help eachother it is hard to give advice when you know little about the other person. Updating your profile would be a big help.

I agree. First thing I look at when reading a post is when you had your surgery. It's hard to answer with out that info sometimes.

Ditto--more info needed to address the questions.  Maybe OK could send a PM to members who have elapsed their surgery date with no update on they type of surgery they received?? DAVE

I updated mine as far went from surgery scheduled to already had surgery, can't update the date, can't find it and can't update the doctor. I added my doctors partner since I couldn't figure out how to add my doctor to the list. I never had such a hard time on a website. This is crazy. I gave up on my avatar for a while. I will eventually put one up. I just got so frustrated.

It shows that you had RNY on 8/06/12. Is that correct?

It was moved to the 9th, I know not a huge deal but still.

Not a big deal at all! If you did want to change it though, follow the same instructions but when you get to history and you see where the wrong date is there is a little wrench above it. Click on that and you can edit what you have there now :)
