Nothing really. I just haven't posted a message in a while.

Um...now I feel the pressure to make this one relevant.

I...am home alone...giving out Halloween candy.

This has never happened before. Usually I am out in the cold trick-or-treating with the divas.

This year they went with their grandma. WOOT!

Do you know how long I have waited for this moment????

I'm going trick or treating with Ian for the first time this could be fun or disastrous (such is autism!)  We're then going to hot foot it back, put him to bed and THEN I get to hand out the candy - this is a huge subdivision so we get a LOT of kids!!!

I seem to spend a lot of time "reminding" kids to say thank you and to use my path and not my bloody lawn to walk on ... Yes, I am The Crazy English Woman!!!

Ok can you please clear up a "Brit-ism" for me?

I just wanna make sure my memory serves me correctly.

I knew this English lady named Pam (she passed away, God rest her soul) and she worked at my job. It used to be that when she had to go to the ladies room she'd say she had to go "spend a penny."

Is that a real British saying? I thought it was kinda cool.

My MIL is Irish and says that. I think it's a ye olde saying though.

Public bathrooms in England used to have locks on them that you had to put a penny in to open them - hence "spend a penny". Anyone under 40 will probably not remember that!!!!

I walked with the kids trick or treating.  it was cold but they had fun, and we walked almost 2 miles.  we don't hit a lot of houses, but we have fun!
