Sick after everything I eat
I everyone, I had been doing well, no complications. Then yesterday the strangest thing happened, after a few bites of food, I feel sick, very nauseous, i feel like i need to vomit, but i do not. this lasts for roughtly an hour or so. It doesn't matter what I eat, this happens I tried to have lunch and it happened again, so I only got a few bites in. I had surgery Sept 10th. anyone have any idea what could suddenly cause this?
does it happen with Liquids as well? perhaps its a stricture?? I would see if I can get down liquids and then purred food and then solids? I would think either something is getting stuck, eating too fast or not chewing well enough or stricture... perhaps someone else has better ideas??

I'm not sure, but I've been having the same issue the last few days. I have not vomited, but I feel like it after I start to eat OR if I wait too long between eating. Drinking does this too. I know I'm not getting in enough food or drink the last few days. UGH. I'm a month further out from you...had my surgery Aug 9th.
Is your stomach very growly too? I am hearing tons of growls, think it is hunger, try to eat my regular meal and then feel awful.
It could be a stricture (but most people seem to report actual vomiting since the food cannot travel beyond the stoma). If it continues for a third day, you should call your surgeon.

You don't drown by falling in the water. You drown by staying there.
Thank you everyone... no it is not happening when I drink liquids. I know for a fact I have not been getting in enough fluids the last few days, so I really tried to up that today. I think maybe I was getting dehydrated. If it continues, I will call my surgeon.
I wasn't thinking strictrue only because I have not thrown up. I have felt like I need to, but I havent been able to since I had surgery.
I'm going back to liquids tomorrow then will introduce food again - slowly. I appreciate all the responses!
That was happening to me too and I found that eating Lipton noodle soup was the only thing that worked for about 3 days, then I could go back to eating regular foods. I am not sure why. Just yesterday I was able to eat normally again. This has happened to me twice since my surgery 4 months ago and soup is the only thing that helps straighten it all out.
