If your surgeon's plan says you need to be on full liquids, then follow the plan. It's not forever! How about some creamed soups, sf pudding with some protein powder added in? You can also add unflavored protein powder to the mashed potatoes. The added protein will help you feel fuller. Also remember your pouch is small! You can only eat a little bit at this point in time. Eat a little more frequently. Put yourself on a schedule to eat every 2 hours, or every 3 hours whichever works with your food plan. This part of the process will be over soon, you WILL get to move on to the next stage soon.

It might be possible that you have a stricture. Call your doctor again if you can't progress forward, or it become harder to get even fluids down.

Your experiece is the same as mine was.  It will not last.  I stayed on full liquids longer than normal because I had a picky pouch.  Listen to your body.  I had a limited list of foods that agreed with me, but it kept me satisfied.  For the longest time everything my family cooked was over cooked so I could tolerate it.   I ate lots of homemade pinto beans, homemade soups of all kinds, gumbo  (I would not eat shrimp), vegetables cooked extemely soft - to basically a mushy stage.  This helped me never feel deprived.  We made large batches and froze everyting in 2 and 4 ounce containers to make it easy for me to reheat.

I actually believe my picky pouch was very helpful in my success.  I never pushed myself to eat more items being very careful to add new foods slowly.  I read on ObesityHelp so many times that life would return to normal all too quickly and take advantage of the early days.  Maintenance is where the real work begins, in my opinion - albeit a different kind of work that is made easier when we have our new healthy lifestyles firmly in place.
