Down 115 lbs in seven months!
RNY on 03/26/12
Hello All!
I don't get on here often enough anymore! I miss reading through the threads. Just wanted to pop in a say that I will be exactly seven months out tomorrow (March 26 surgery) and I have lost 115 pounds so far. Today, my morning weigh in was 197.4!
I have not been under 200 lbs since I was in the SEVENTH grade in 1991. This is the smallest I have been since growing up, I am still amazed. Best decision of my life.
My goal is 175, I think. I am 5'9" and have a large bone structure (i.e. big head) so I will see how that looks on me and decide if I need to keep pushing it to my original goal of 165. No desire to be a Bobblehead.
I wish everyone on this journey the absolute best of luck! It is a road worth traveling. Until next time.
xoxo,
Lisa

In case anyone is interested:
My feet have gotten smaller, I still feel more comfortable in the wide width but I can now wear shoes 1/2 - a whole size smaller.
I am an 'Apple" shape so my torso is still bigger than my hips but I wear a lg/xl ladies/juniors shirt (depending on style and cut) I SWEAR by my Kymaro slimmer top.
Size 15 juniors pants and 12/14 ladies pants.
I lost 2/3 of my boobs, they are now super long, deflated and flimsy.
I have lots of wrinkled skin on my inside thighs and my butt seems to be about 4 inches longer than what it was.
I have lost weight EVERYwhere, yes, ladies, I am talking about my "Queen Victoria".
I have had some mild, seemingly moderate, hair loss. I still have enough to cover my head.
I take all my vitamins, of course, plus raspberry ketones, green coffee extract, resveratrol and yes, I dare say it, phentermine (when I feel myself getting off track and eating senselessly). But, not all together, just stuff I have tried over the last 7 months.
I do not dump so I eat basically anything including bread, pasta, chocolate, etc. I do pay attention to portions. I do not tolerate shrimp and other shellfish well.
Occasionally, I will drink Diet Coke. It is better when it is close to being flat.
My 10 year old son and I are traveling all over the world, courtesy of my bat wings. I tell him to latch on and off we go!:)
If there are any questions, please ask. Thanks.

Congrats and thank you for being so open about everything. It is encouraging to hear. I am only 1 week post op and have lost 7lbs. I feel like things will not get better but in the back of my mind I know that they will.

Thank you!
We have all felt like you feel right now. There were days I questioned it all. But, it DEFINITELY gets better and life so much easier. Drinking protein coffee in the mornings have become routine for me. I can find something to eat on just about any restaurant menu. Life does get "normal" again. It is tough right now but with every pound lost, the better you will feel and be. Congratulations to you!
