Just a "transitional" putting in 2cents.... I confess that I was a true-believer-newbie, swearing off carbs for eternity and all that...And I'm not entirely sure where I started to consider moderation as something not to fear but embrace, but it was somewhere between my first surgiversary and the rest of my life. Now, as some of my support group members may notice, I'm still pretty rigid about what I eat & when but I'm in the process (being a "tranie" ) of shifting my obsessive focus on food and working on making peace with my choices and making activity the main focus of what "getting healthy" means to me.
