I've been saying that when I get up in the mornings...I would walk a bit, after seeing my daughter off to school, but have yet to do so (surgery was 9/25/12).  I do walk some in the afternoon, or after she gets home, but that morning walk is still a thought.  So, today, after having my morning "coffee" protein shake, I decided to go to the grocery and get a few healthy foods to make meals for myself and my family.  I left the house without a thing!  Forgot my water, snack....everything.  So, I stopped at McDonald's a bit late for breakfast (had planned to get scrambled eggs) and opted for a grilled chicken sandwich, and a bottle of water for later.  Instead of eating it in the car, I stopped at our church and sat a picnic table on the church grounds.  I was able to eat about 1/3 of the chicken breast meat, but for the first time, felt pretty full with that.  It was a *****illy, but so beautiful!  The leaves are so brilliantly colorful, the sky is gorgeous with white fluffy clouds against the blue...it was truly a blessed time.  Time for me to think, pray and reflect on the choices that I've made and am going to make.
Long story, short...MUCH better day than I've had in a long time!
I'm now at the library, to print some forms, as my printer is out of ink! Then off to see what else I can find to do until school's out.

Home sick with a cold and a throat on fire. Nutrition is out the window but liquids, protein, and vits are non-negotiable.

B: Hot lemon and ginger tea with honey (yes, I did real honey) and chunks of ginger
S: Chocolate decaf mocha Click shake
Another tea
L: Carrot and ginger soup, pureed
S: Click decaf mocha, hot - tired of tea
Another tea
D: frittata with mushrooms, salami, dill and colby-jack cheese
I will have another protein hot drink but haven't decided which one. Hot is so soothing.

B:  Cream of Wheat Instant w/tsp of Stevia
S: Nectar Apple Ecstasy drink
L:  Under 1 oz of Tuna fish - this is the first time I have eating meat since surgery on 9/28/12.  I mixed it with yogurt, finely chopped celery, chives, salt/pepper.  So far so good... it tastes decent with the yogurt and my stomache is making absolutely no complaints.
S: Unjury protein drink made with 4 oz of milk and 4 oz of water
D:  May try chicken chili if tuna doesn't cause any problem
Dessert:  Crustless pumpkin pie made with Stevia and non-fat milk

Mother nature is calling and that seems to interfere with my desire to work out.  I will walk after dinner as is my custom.. but no gym today.

B:  1/4 C Chobani Vanilla Yogurt & 1/4C Mixed Berries
S:  Slim Jim mini stick
L:  Zucchini Boat
S:  Apple with Natual PB
D:  1/2 C Crockpot Beef Stew

I've been giving my crockpot a workout the past two weeks.  Looking forward to making some Sausage & Lentil soup later in the week.  Last night I put the last of my Nik's Pumpkin Chili in the freezer so that and the zucchini boats will probably be my lunch for the week.

Fail to plan, plan to fail.  This weekend we were sidetracked with two additional soccer games on Sunday.  While I was excited to see my daughter's team make the semi-final and bring home a trophy, it really jacked up my "Get Ready for the Week" planning day.  Trying to fit all of those tasks into an evening knocked me out.  Tonight is her last "practice" of the season - parent's vs. kids.  Hopefully I'll score a goal or two and show her mama's still got it!  :)

I found a sample sublingual B12 in my vitamin box... so I took it! yay me!
I love Tuesdays because I get to sleep "late" - instead of getting up at 0920 I sleep until 1000. My parents go grocery shopping so I just need to be at their house to help unload.  I fed my horses and other critters, had an unplanned mint cookie protein and then helped with groceries and getting my mom settled.

Noon spin class for 30 minutes. I love her "spooky" play list -  Witch Doctor (insane sprints), Bad Moon, Monster Mash, Thriller, Somebody's Watching Me, Ghostbusters, Devil Went Down to Georgia..... tough stuff.
Then I did a workout with the trainer

  8 rounds of 8 reps
- 25lb dumb bell deadlift row
- suicide jumps
- jump lunges
- pushups

Then 8 rounds on TM 30 sec sprint, 10 sec rest
first 3.5 sprints 7.0
last 3.5  sprints 7.5

Now I am staring down the long hill of a 12hr shift.  I'll get off around 0100, do my night chores, hook up my horse trailer so I can have my horses at the vet 30 minutes away by 0830 in the morning.

B - mint cookie protein
L - Arnold WW Nutty bread, peanut butter, 1/2 banana, 1/2pack mini pretzels
S - (between workouts) 1/2 pack sport beans, 1/2 banana
S - post workout - 1Tbs peanut butter, 1/2 Tbs local honey
S - mint cookie protein
   - celery and laughing cow cheese
D - Nik's Magic Meatballs , fresh green beans, mini peppers
S - turkey pepperoni, LC cheese
   - Click
   - probably a turkey bacon sandwich

Yes. I eat all that. :)
