Lori - I have a potential NOM for you!
You and I are very alike in eating capacity and tastes so I thought I'd share my last several nights dinner with you. I am not posting on the blog because a) I am not in the mood to hear the "you eat that???" comments and b) it doesn't photo well.
Anyhoo...back inna day I used to have what I knew as a "steakhouse burger." Here's how I re-created it healthfully:
1 Jennie-O turkey burger
1 slice of cheese (I don't do reduced fat, but your mileage may vary)
1/2 of an onion, cut into slivers and sauteed in a pan with nonstick cooking spray and a bit of salt/pepper
1 large, button mushroom, sliced and sauteed with the onion
1 whole-wheat Arnold Thin
A smidge of mayo
About 1/2-ish tbsp steak sauce
NOM!!!!! This sandwich is the bomb and I'm sure way less caloric than the version I used to eat. Just it fills me up quite nicely. Sometimes I have a fudgesicle an hour or so later.
