I throw it in. It picks up the flavor of the broth when I do that. Also when I just cook quinoa usually I'll sautee onions/garlic first, then throw the quinoa in withou****er to "toast" it a moment before adding water. Very yummy.

I seem to be having the opposite problem as some of you...i am super ravenous hungry in the morning and i think its because i am up at 3:30 to work and my job is quite physical.  Lifting, bending...lots of walking and lots of movement. Thus at my 8 am break i am starved.  But Mondays and Tuesdays are my days off so i eat more normal..hehehe!!

B: Oatmeal with a bit of splenda and a small banana
L:  ????  chili sounds good so maybe a trip to culvers or wendys to get some..Cojack cheese slice
S: apple
D: Crockpot cabbage and turkey kielbalsa
S: Cottage cheese and some sugar free pears

Good Morning All! Found my way back. Just needed a few weeks of sorting some things out.

And it's been crazy at the house. New puppy has really thrown things off. But she is really settling in so it's getting better every day. I have a cat on nerve pills now but he is going to be fine. He is slowly getting used to her. Puppies are just so bouncy. And cats...not so much. lol

And work...found mold in my office for the 2nd time so I am moving up to the 3rd floor. They can't tell me what's going to happen or how long it might take so I have no idea how much stuff I will need to take. Just decided to start small with the absolute essentials and then see what happens. I am not moving my file cabinets by myself again! (life at a non-profit=a lot of DIY)

Ok food...

Wake up-non fat latte
Breakfast-2 oz of hamburger leftover and a cheese stick
L-Remaining leftover hamburger patty, greek yogurt
S-Apple w/peanut butter
D-Rats! I didn't take anything out of the freezer. Great. Well I'll come up with something.

Have a great week everyone!

I have no plans for today, other than work and then home for dinner and meeting a friend for a walk after.

Food-wise, my day looks like this:
Breakfast - 3/4 cup egg beaters & a strawberry banana Chobani
Lunch - either out for Hibachi with a co-worker or a chicken breast & green beans (the lunch I brought)
Snack - a banana protein muffin and a Quest PB Cup
Dinner - ??  Didn't take anything out.  Will probably grill some burgers & steam some veggies.

I am having classic signs of B12 deficiency I think. Extreme fatigue, forgetting everything, etc. I haven't had a B12 injection since August because of time / distance / finances. I am going to call and see if I can get just 1 dose for now.... I can afford nerve damage even less than I can afford prescriptions.
Skipping my noon exercise class, hoping to make my evening Spinnerval class. Working 12hrs until 0100.

B - ww arnold nutty grain bread, slice of sharp cheddar, slice of tomato
L - some concoction my dad made w/ strip steak, mushroom soup in the crockpot
S - celery
    - mint cookie
D - probably my old faithful egg whites, turkey bacon, ww toast
S - quest
   - click
   - maybe a PB&J on ww

Why don't you just switch to sublinguals? I did that when I kept forgetting to take my shot (I was given a prescription to give the shots to myself at home). Lori, if you have trouble getting to them it's important to take them so you might want to switch methods. I think I did some irreparable damage (not completely sure but my short term memory, no matter how compliant I've been, has not been right since). That's nothing to play with!!!

Sublinguals are cheap and easy to take. You pop one under your tongue very day and you're done. Don't get yourself back on my list!!!

because that is waaaay too simple and logical.

I literally slapped my forehead when I read this. I think I even have sublinguals at the house.  I blame in on missing my B12 lol

And I do NOT want back on the list.... I'll be good!

So my Monday is off to a great start! My Mother in law just texted me and she wants to go to the Corn Maze on Saturday....sounds like fun you say??? HA! hahahahahaha! NO its miserable! Its not just ONE corn maze...it's 5..FIVE corn mazes in rural Missouri. For those of you who have never been in a corn field let me tell you they are hot, full of bugs, dirty, and so tall you can not see over the corn. Last year we did 5 strait hours of corn maze...it was awful I have never been so hungry, dirty (like Filthy down to your underwear), covered in dust, bugs, thirsty, tired and miserable, and disoriented from being lost in a filthy corn field for  5 hours.

She is super competitive and wants all of us to do all 5 mazes to see who will get through first.

I really don't want to go.....but I will :(

My idea of a fun visit to the farm would include:
Pumpkin patch
Cider
Donuts
apple picking

Not on fun list:
Psycho 5 hour corn maze marathon

Anyway today
B: Scrambled eggs in a low carb tortilla with slice cheese
S: Cottage Cheese
L: Salad with chicken and Italian dressing
S: couple squares of chocolate
D: grilled chicken
S: 1T Peanut butter

Thanks for letting me vent...I feel better now :)
Have a great day everyone!
