What are you eating/doing today? Monday!
Well the dog let me sleep a bit later than usual so I may have more energy than I know what to do with! But today in general is work, then support group (I am skipping spin class to go to support group so this BETTER be good), then home. My life is pretty boring. And I love it.
For anyone who has ever been through a bunch of major life changes at the same time (for me, mom died, had to give up our family home, moved to a completely new neighborhood, new pastors at church, new dog), you know that after you manage to get your footing and assess the situation you kind of want life to be as normal as humanly possible. That's about where I am right now. I could be like that guy in Groundhog Day right this moment and be completely fine with it!
Anyway eats:
1. Click Frapp when I get to the office
2. I am about to go make a quickie chicken, quinoa, roasted veggie soup portion for lunch (no pot of soup made up. I'm practicing learning to make individual portions)
3. A cheesestick maybe and an apple
4. Protein chips on the way to support group
5. Something with this leftover rotisserie chicken for dinner
6. An NSA fudgesicle for dessert

Good Monring everyone! It is a beautiful day in Boston and I was actually warm walking to work this morning! I'm sure today is my last day of wearing a dress without tights nd i am going to enjoy every last minute of it!
Nik- I am happy to hear everything is falling into place right now. There really is something to be said for normalcy and routine. Those are things that took me far too long to appreciate.
Tomorrow night there is a transformations event at the hospital I had my surgery at. I went last year with my hubby and it was great to see not only his progress celebrated but everyone who had surgery that year. I am deciding whether or not to go to tomorrow night. My hubby is working and I don't feel right about asking anyone in my family to go with me. (We've had a lot going on, a very recent death in family, etc) The question is- will it be enjoyable on my own? I'm the type of person who is very friendly when you know but but quiet until you do. In short- I am not overly outgoing or friendly when in situations when I don't know anyone. My one year follow up appointment is next week.
Eats fo the day
Breakfast- salted caramel mocha protein coffee-
Snack- pepepr jack cheese stick
Lunch- Soup and honey crisp apple
Snack- 1/2 pure protein bar
Dinner- Eggchilada w/ turkey sausage and bklack beans
Snack- SF hot cocoa

Good Morning! I could have lounged around my house today.... but I'm up and at work. I've been more dis-interested in morning food than usual lately but eating more at night. I definitely need to work on getting this under control.

S - try to not have anything heavier than SF popsicles or an apple.
Workout for the day -- 4 miles on the treadmill. Goal for the week: 4 miles, 4 miles, 9.5 miles!

Monday Monday.......at work already...looking sassy in a sweater skirt and toting a scarf....
looking like a nice day here so maybe a long walk at lunch ....

S= blueberry muffin decaf coffee & a colby pepperjack cheese slice
L= cottage cheese and maybe some chili
S= if needed....usually dont..so nothing planned
D= Hamburger barbecue with a melted slice of american cheese

Well a decent start to a Monday for me. Up early/on time and had a good start, no rushing around. I've gotten back to basics, removed the carbs/had the withdrawal and back on track. It is really amazing how much more dense protein keeps me full. It's always funny how I forget that sometimes.
Today eats as I know them:
B: Protein Shake
L: chili and a cheese stick
AS: Cottage cheese/greek yogurt mix with some pistachio sf jello
S: I don't know, waiting for a text to see what everyone wants
ES: Depends, probably won't need depending on supper.
Exercise this week has to pick up. Today I will walk 8 KM's over the course of the day (on my breaks)

Nik--Question--do you cook the quinoa separate when you put it in soup or just throw it in the pot like barley or pasta?
Today I am trying to control my evening eating. We'll see how that goes. I'm still losing of course and nothing bad is happening but I know that I have to get control of my habits now before malabsorption goes away. So I am attempting 3 meals and maybe 2 snacks. I get dizzy a lot so even though my surgeon only calls for 3 meals, I need the snacks. But not like 4 before bed, lol.
