Has anyone heard of this?  Provide gold liquid protein.  It's sugar free and 15g of protein per 1oz.

I tried a sample of the berry and it tasted really good.  Just never heard of it before.

It doesn't say what type of protein it is. Odd. I wouldn't do it unless I knew what I was injesting.

I can't tell what kind of protein it is, but I'm guessing it's collagen, which is basically what's in jello, and is not a good source of protein at all.  The website states it's dairy free, which means it doesn't not contain whey isolate, whey concentrate, or calcium caseinate.  I guess it could be soy or some other plant protein, but it looks like those collagen protein shots to me.

Found this on their website:

Hydrolyzed Collagen Protein.  I'm not a protein expert.. but is this a protein type we can have as RNY patients or no?

Nope, collagen isn't where it's at for us. I'm sure others will expound.

You can have it if you want, it won't hurt you.  It just won't help you, either.  Because it's an incomplete protein, you won't absorb much protein at all from it.  It's a waste of money.

What Kelly said.  Also, avoid the protein "bullets"/"shots" (except the Yes Whey brand) for the same reason.  Collagen protein is an incomplete protein that your body cannot absorb.  (The Yes Whey bullets/shots have no collagen, they are 100% whey protein while the others are primarily collagen with a little bit of whey.)
