Insurance approval question

Does anyone have an idea how long it takes for insurance approval once they have all the paperwork submitted? I have Cigna insurance.
 

My friend recently had her surgery and she had Cigna.  If I am correct they had five days to review the paperwork and give an answer.

The office told me that they have 30 days to response. I had Blue Cross Blue Sheild and I got my approval within a week. Good Luck!

Same here, they said it could take up to 30 days to hear.  The paperwork was submitted for me on a Wednesday and I got a call from teh center on Friday to schedule a date.

My dr. told me it could take 4-6 weeks however, mine was about 1 week and I have the company  name that starts with A.


I had all the insurance pre-requirement completed and then some!

I had wanted the DS but I was not heavy enough and had the RNY. 

I have Cigna and my approval came back in 3 days.

Thanks so much. I have surgery scheduled for 10/18 and no insurance approval yet. Very stressful.

I have Cigna and they approved it in less than 5 days. the letter came about a week later. I called and they told me over the phone that it had been approved.
