Newbie with a question
I am 3 weeks post op. Have not had any complications (thank goodness) and really have not had any food issues. I am on soft foods this week and have been eating yogurt, cottage cheese, etc. The other day I was at a lunch for work and I had to order something "soft" off the menu. All I could find was a very small bowl of mac n cheese. I ate about 2 or 3 oz and it was like a rock in my stomach. I was so bad. Now...every time I eat anything its like a rock in my stomach. Even cottage cheese and yogurt. It goes away after awhile, but I swear I'm scared to eat anything now. What is this? Is it the nerves are coming back and i'm too full? Any help would be appreciated.
Thank you.
Thank you.
Pasta feels like a rock in my pouch, too. Even four years out. But I don't know why everything you eat would feel like that. You might want to call your surgeon. It may not be related to the mac n cheese you ate. In fact, I don't see how it would be.

I had something similar happen to me as well. I have been doing find with tuna, cottage cheese and ricotta bake. My NUT said I could try scrambled egg. I did and it sat like a rock, after that I went back to liquids, the next day I ate my ricotta and it sat like a rock in my pouch as well ;/ not really sure why though.

Hi - I had a "noodle" moment about one week ago and my stomach is still a little touchy. My nutritionist told me that noodles expand in the stomach even if they were boiled a lot. It is best to eat only tiny, tiny amounts of noodles or not at all. The good news is that oatmeal doesn't expand and I love it. You'd think oatmeal would expand in the stomach but it doesn't.
