Cereals
Kashi Go Lean is my choice, high fiber, and high protein. I have to "soak" it for a few minutes though. I am also one of those people who would drink the milk out of the bowl when I finished my cereal. Can't do that now in order to follow the no drinking while eating rule. I also try not to get to much milk on the spoon. So, I have mixed the cereal in yogurt and cottage cheese and that is just as good too, especially with a dash of cinnamon!
Many surgeons recommend against eating cereal at all (even higher protein cereals), at least eaten the traditional way since eating cereal with milk is the same as eating and drinking at the same time. Most cereals are also pretty high in carbs (even once you take fiber into consideration) for the amount of protein and other nutrition you get. I occasionally use a very small amount as a crunchy sprinkle on yogurt, though.

Yeah, you're right... that sounds gross, LOL! I ate so much cottage cheese the first six months after surgery, though, that most of the time it doesn't sound good even on its own.
