This question is just out of curiousity.... has anyone ever had RNY and NOT lost weight?   Meaning significant weight loss initially (the first year)?    I know you can always gain it back I'm just curious if anyone ever not lost it initially.....

No real reason for the question....  just curious.

Watch the TV show 'My 600 pound life'. A few of those people really really try hard not to let it work.

No.  it is physically impossible not to lose weight initially because of the extreme restriction and caloric malabsorption.  A few months out, though... yes, someone absolutely could sabotage their weight loss by eating crap throughout the entire day.

You don't drown by falling in the water. You drown by staying there.

I've wondered the exact same thing.  Maybe just because how hard I've been working and how little weight I've lost.
