EGD then Surgery,, Question for ladies
I am having my egd done this morning and my surgery is on thursday. I have a question for the ladies, will me starting my period yesturday cause any issues with the surgery date. I havent had a period in so long i didnt even think about this happening. i was told once i started losing weight i would more then likely go back to being more regular but i have only lost 25 lbs pre op. What do i do.

I had my period when I had my band put in and then again when it came out- they had me wear 100% cotton underwear with a pad- don't stress about it it happens all the time.

I started mine the morning of surgery. The intake nurse said it's pretty much guaranteed to happen. They're used to it and it won't make a difference. They'll give you a pad to stick between your legs, and possibly a mildly uncomfortable stretchy pair of undies (that didn't fit me at all, lol). No worries!
