Why is my only problem with WATER???

I have noticed since I started my journey a few weeks ago and had my surgery this past Monday, I have had no problems with following anything in the diet.  No cravings, no over eating, working hard to get all of my protein and fluids in...the only thing I have a problem with is water...and not a problem drinking it, but a total fight in my head not to get the biggest glass of cold ice water and chug it!  If I miss anything at all at this point, it is THAT.  Ugh!

I worry about that also.

Put a bunch of water in a pitcher, cut up a cucumber, stick that thing in the pitcher, leave it in the fridge overnight and enjoy!  Cucumber water is delish!  Just a hint of cucumber and no calorie difference from regular water.

:)  You couldn't chug it if you wanted to.  But, I would say that I was drinking pretty normally not long after surgery.  So how about a big glass of ice water and normal drinking?

Yes, please sip your water and don't chug it.

I used one of my kids sippy cups for the first three months just to be careful.

Give it a little time for your body to heal and you can get pretty close to normal drinking pace.

I am 13mths out and can't drink plain water other than small sips in the gym. I add Mio to water and I can drink it just like old days. Powerade zero and skim milk go down fine for me as well.

Maybe try adding flavor to your water...mio flavor drops, crystal light, or diet snapple.

Thanks for all the tips guys :) I've actually tried tricking my mind (if thats possible) into "thinking" I chugged it by taking very tiny sips about 5-10 seconds apart but not taking the cup from my mouth until I've gotten about 4 sips down...so at least the cold water saturates my lips for awhile...lol...if hat makes any sense?  Sometimes it works, and others, I just have to keep fighting with my brain...lol
