I survived my mom's birthday. It was a nice day actually. I mostly relaxed and let myself feel however I wanted to feel - which was mostly reminiscent. I looked at photos and told stories about her. We went to visit her grave. I haven't been able to afford a grave marker yet so I really and truly hope we were standing over HER grave. Thankfully I talked to the cemetery people and you can put like 5% down on one and pay over 3 years and they'll put down a temporary grave marker for you. If I ever sell this damn house I'm going to do it. I don't want to do anything overly ornamental but I would like to know for sure I am, in fact, visiting my mother's grave!

Anyhoo, afterward I gave the girls a treat and let the go to Golden Corral. I like to do my "buffet tally" each time just so I let the girls know how cost effective it is NOT for me to go there. This trip? A small slice of meatloaf and half of a side salad. I did get in a few bites of sugar-free cake for dessert.

This morning Benji the puppy woke me up at about 7. I fed him, took him on a nice, long walk and now I am about to go to the farmers market (sadly, he's not allowed or I'd take him). Then I have to take the girls paternal grandma to the doctors then we're going to Ikea to pick up some odds and ends. Later their one aunt is throwing the other a surprise birthday party. All in all, should be a fun day.

Eats as I know them:

1. Caramel rice cake with 2 tbsp Naturally More PB
2. Chorizo empanada at the farmers market (it was worth it!)
3. Banana Cinnamon Dolce protein shake
4. Whatever is served at the party
5. Cottage cheese later if desired

Glad you made it through yesterday fairly well.

Today? Grocery shopping, a bubble bath to relieve stress, mowing the grass, watching the Ohio Stat football game, watching the Reds game tonight, and probably some bordeline-obsessive checking of my email waiting for an explanation from the Chow breeder on why they lied to me yet again about people getting puppies before I get my replacement puppy for Khan.

Food? Nothing yet.  Zero appetite today. Likely have Greek yogurt in a bit and then some leftover filet mignon for dinner.  What comes in between is anyone's guess.  There will, however, be some (limited, of course) Jelly Belly consumption cuz I just got the shipment from the large order I placed for my birthday. (I now have 5 pounds of jelly beans!)

Well, I have a full day planned at the Toronto Film festival and, after last weeks dietary fiasco, have planned my day accordingly.

I'm starting with a protein shake that already as a full 80g of protein in it.

for lunch I have a whole wheat tortilla with fat free cream cheese and roast beef

for snacks I have some Babybel Lights

and for a treat I have Cantaloupe with some Cool Whip Light.

Vitamins are also packed to pepper throughout my day and I have a refillable water bottle to keep track of that too.

Feeling quite proud of myself as I head out.  I have 3 movies today and there just won't be time to come home between them so made sure I've got what I need for the WHOLE day.

Happy Saturday one and all!!

I'm visiting friends this weekend in Milwaukee (I'm from MN so about 7 hrs from home). Just have my 1 yr old with me who is playing with their 1 yr old. Too cute. Today, we are all attending the baby shower of my college roommate. Should be fun!

Breakfast: Adkins Mocha Latte protein shake
Lunch: Something at the shower hopefully - otherwise will have a cheesestick and later a protein shake in the car to hold me over
Dinner: Rotisseri chicken if we are back at friend's for dinner otherwise we will eat out on the way home.

Protein drink and apple slices with greek yogurt at some point. I brought those things with so I was prepared on this trip. My friend has been very concerned about what I can and can't eat - she's been very considerate! :)

Glad to hear about your day, Nik and looking forward to seeing you tomorrow.

Today:  Paying bills, running errands, starting to clean the disaster which my son left on the upstairs floor before heading to boot camp, pedicure (hopefully).

Foods today:  Greek yogurt this AM, leftover grilled salmon for lunch and probably again for dinner, with some asparagus.  A yummy peach for snack.

Hopefully going downtown (is there any better place than Baltimores inner harbor?!) and *hopefully* getting my poor truck fixed since its decided it hates me and doesn't want to run anymore.

Then I'm gonna sit with a pen and paper and start planning meals AHEAD of time because apparently, that's a better idea than trying to figure out what to have when it's actually time to eat.

As far as eating today...NO idea. :-/

For me, up early and finally called the personal trainer!  HOORAY!  I've been putting it off for the last week but I'm seeing that I really am losing muscle mass so I need to learn how to use the gym more effectively.

I actually have a sad day.  I have a funeral at 2:00 for the 21 year son of a friend.  It is absolutely tragic.  I'm hoping for a movie later this afternoon to counteract the sad early part of the day.

Food, I did my cereal this morning and am fighting to get some h2o in.  I'm just not hungry.  Lunch with be leftover refried beans with cheese on top.  I'll probaby sip a protein shake on my way to the funeral since it is an hour away.  Dinner is up for grabs.  Protein heavy for sure!

This morning I made a great egg and a piece of chicken sausage. I ate about 1/2 my puppy loved the rest. No idea what to cook for the rest of the day.

I got a new roommate and I came home last night and my roommate cleaned the whole kitchen! So I should probably clean a little.

Also homework and tomorrow I'm going to a toby Keith concert.

I'm just post-op, so nothing exciting to eat bu****er, beef broth and some hot tea.  I was able to finish a jell-o for the first time, so I'm pleased with that.

I went for a walk around my house, straightened up a little in the living room (Things I've been working on and haven't put away yet).  My husband and I are going to the grocery store to get food for all and I plan on making a couple of soups, so I can have something a little tastier then beef broth and my husband and mom can have the chunkie goodies, while I have the broth. :)

It's time for another walk too, so I'm going to let my dog out and walk around the yard with her.

Have a great day everyone!

So glad to hear about your day... sounds like a perfect way to honor your mom and take care of yourself and your girls.

I kind of lost my mind yesterday after the epic fail weighing in / getting measurements with the trainer. One extreme to the other and ended with a mega carb / calorie "snack" of banana cheerios.
Today I am back from crazy land. Worked 0400-0600 overtime, then went back home for a nap until time to get up and help my mom. Most of today involves hanging out, napping, working in my garden, and trying to find the floor of my "Hoarders" house.
Maybe. Or Maybe i will just nap ... tomorrow is my full course practice of the goal Triathlon

B - 2scp click / 4oz milk/4water
L - Nik's Magic meatballs, bertolli sauce, 1/2 deli flat, pickle
S - hummus and veggies
- BANANA Protein Power balls (A-Mazing!)
D - probably egg whites, turkey bacon, turkey sausage, P28
S - if needed, ww bacon tortilla (turkey bacon, ww tortilla, tomato slice, dab of mayo)
