Hair dying after sugrey? Is it ok too?

Neither doctor nor hairdresser said anything about dyeing my hair so I just kept up with it.  I don't think it has affected the rate of the hair loss at all.  But I'd rather be a little thin than a lot gray, lol.  Maybe I'm just too vain.  KAREN
Thank God for the wonderful gift of WLS.  Use it wisely as the tool it is meant to be and hold yourself accountable for the rest of the journey!!!

I  think you should consult your stylist/colorist.  You won't be their first surgery client.  I did lose hair for about three months.  I started losing about 9 weeks post op and then finally saw the little hairs growing back in at about 5 months post op.  It took a while for me to "see" the new growth.  It was almost an inch long before I could see it.

I have kept my highlight/gray coverage dyeing schedule throughout this process.  I don't think the dyeing has changed anything, other than making me feel better about the white hair becoming less white and more blonde!!!

Your colorist will be able to help you decide what to do....remember you pay for his/her advice!!!

I don't go to a stylist. I color my hair myself....okay well my mom does it because I put red on the bottom of my hair and dark brown on top. I can't do that by myself lol. My hair feels more healthy when I dye it. It's werid.
