Send her a very kind, thoughtful email about how you understand how she is struggling to keep paying customers happy with red males, so you did your own research and found an ideal puppy on  your own. Ask her would she rather Fed Ex a cashiers check to you or you go pick up the $1800 cash in person.

Oh Lora, that's terrible.  I wonder if a strongly worded letter from a lawyer migh thelp?

I thought about that.  The problem is that health guarantee only guarantees you a replacement puppy.  There is nothing in the written guarantee about a timeframe.  I do, however, have all the emails from them (with BOTH lies)  and I saved a copy of the FB page with the woman's post indicating that she had only been on list list since May for the puppy she just got the call on.

Dogs are considered property so all property sold with a guarentee in your state are applicable in this situation. Also you can use the contract law in your state as well. Your adept with a computor, you should research your laws and see how that can help you. Maybe just a filing with small claims, as well as providing the state laws she is violating will be enough of a match under her butt. You can also call AKC and inquire about filing a complaint with her registration. That may motivate her as well. I understand you may not want to **** her off so she drags her feet or refuses at all but isn't that what she is already doing? If you bought a TV from a store that didn't work and you had a warrenty with it you would not accept or be expected to wait to have it replaced. The same laws for those apply to dogs.

You took the words out of my mouth...file against her AKC registration and consult an attorney.  From reading your updates on this this, its plain to see that this lady really doesn't expect to keep her word as far as replacement of the puppy.  The longer you wait before seeking legal action, it might actually end up hurting your case.  You are within your rights to seek either a refund of the paid monies OR immediate replacement with a new puppy with a health guarentee.
