If you know whether or not you dump, please answer:

How did you find out either way?

I am a dumper!  I was in the "mushy" phase and was thinking meatballs from Subway would be great..... yea ... no... but that definitely taught me the importance of checking nutrition info early on.  Now anytime I go out anywhere I always check.

8 months post op I dumped on combination milk with coffee, followed by Fat Free 6 oz yogurt.  That was bad.
That's how I found out that not only I dumped - but that I dumped on "natural sugars".

Yeah, nothing happened. It just scares me a little that I didn't have any reaction. Pre-op, white bread like that would send me into a carb coma.  I've also not had any reaction to sugar alcohols and fat. I was actually hoping I was a dumper.

No, not in the sense of what others experience.  I've had a few instances that were horrific with all the pain, but for the most part not a dumper.  Too much sugar will cause nausea only.  Fat doesn't bother me at all.

Surgery 5/22, so far no dumping....I had a couple of moments of being uncomfortable from not paying attention when eating (eating too fast, too big of bites, too much), but no actual dumping episodes.

It will hurt. It will take time. It will require dedication. It will require willpower. It requires sacrifice. There will be temptation. But, I promise you, when you reach your goal, it's WORTH IT! (Author Unknown). I feel this sums up my ongoing journey to a healthier me!

I just posted my story on another thread, but I accidentally ate pre-sweetened yogurt that I added splenda to thinking it was plain yogurt. I had no problems with it so assume I don't dump. I realize that since the majority of the sugar in any yogurt is lactose that I could still dump on too much refined sugar but I'm thinking it's unlikely. Esp given that most people don't dump anyway.

(Spell check wants me to change pre-sweetened to pee-sweetened. Ummm....yeah, no.)

I'm 18 months post op and have never tested the waters to see if I dump. Sweets aren't really my thing so I"ve not indulged.
