I am also a lap band revision to bypass. My starting weight was 308, I am currently 220, and my goal is 130.

How exciting to see others with the same surgery date. I too go in at 5:30 am.  Not to many things I will get up that early to do but dont want to miss this.
Yes the liquid diet did make me not feel 100%. I believe it was from not having any food, there is still somedays that I feel better then others.
My daughter lives about 6 hours from me and she came to spend the weekend with me and will be there for my surgery. She wanted her brother to take her to the Mexican restaurant for lunch. I asked if I could go and they were all like are you sure you want to? I told them I am not going to excluded from hanging out with friends or family simply because of my current eating restrictions. It wasnt easy but it was another accomplishment towards the new life.
I feel bad that your insurance may cancel. It is hard for me not to keep thinking when I get there for surgery they are going to tell me they cant do it today. Sorry for your frustrations and let's hope for the insurance and all to happen as you have planned.
Good luck to everyone on Monday and all the days after.

My surgery is Tuesday at 10:15. I have to be there by 6:15. I'm feeling good about it. Actually feel really calm. I guess maybe  because I have made my decision due to health issues and diabetes. I know my body will be healthier after and I am looking at it as a blessing. I am a 30 yr diabetic and that disease has taken a toll on my heart and kidneys. I am hoping to go into remission for a very long time if not forever. I am told by my doctors that my kidney function will improve and that is what I need. I guess I am looking at this surgery as a life saver for me, an extension of my years here with my family. I am going to be 60 in October and this is my birthday present to myself. I want the next 10 or so years to healthier ones and I want to enjoy the time I have left being able to play with my grandkids and go on vacations without worrying about my heart giving out. I have had a very serious heart attack with damage to the heart muscle and I have had a triple bypass and now have a defibrillator and pacer. My heart is at a good point right now to have the surgery. I had wanted to have it about 3 years ago but my heart was weaker and I was afraid I wouldn't get through the surgery. It just wasn't my time. Now it is my time and I am looking forward to doing it and being stronger and healthier for the rest of my life.
