Virtually every only drug store on local pharmacy likely has sublingual B12.  I use a 2500mcg 3 times a week. My B12 on labs 2 months ago was near 2000. My wife takes the same B12 sublingual daily, and her B12 was at a 1034.  Labs are the only real way to know if you're vitamin levels are ok. Dave

Im at work so I don't have the information in front of me but I know it was way up in the above normal range.  I could let you know later if you still want to know.

Mine was 1145.

The normal range was listed as Normal 243 - 894 pg/mL

Did this seem inaccurate???

1145 is excellent for B12.  I wouldn't want mine to get much lower than that.

The thing about the reference range listed on the lab report is that those are not the ranges needed for optimal health.  They are the average of a bunch of apparently healthy test subjects the lab tested, often some of their own employees.

243-894 seems like a pretty poor range to shoot for, since people often develop permanent nerve damage under 400 and people often have symptoms like fatigue and depression under 550.

Sublinguals are good. Pills don't work on us with that one. I didn't have luck with B12 patches either. I take 1000-2500mcg of methylcobalamin daily and my B12 has stayed right around 1500. I have never had a problem with that one. Laboratories think that is high, they'll flag it as the range is something like 200-800. But anything under 1000 is low for us. Anything under 400 and you're seriously flirting with nerve damage.

I must be an oddball. I have been taking B12 pills (2000mcg day) for 2.5 months and my level went from 887 to 1185.

Contrary to belief on here,  not everyone lacks intrinsic factor after RNY - there are some really long term vets (10 years +) who have never taken B12 and have never been deficient.

Like any other vitamin, labs and trending are what's important, not what unqualified experts believe ...
