OT (maybe not?) - Here Comes Honey Boo Boo
Well this is a neat tread!
I have to confess that I too watched the show and also think it's shockingly sad! Being from Northern Canada I admit that I need the subtitles to understand what the heck they are saying and for the most part this family reminds me of many who live around me just with a different accent! lol!
But it's the bugs on Mama's fork lift toe that sent me over the edge this week! That was just gross!

I can NOT help bu****ch this trainwreck of a show. It's sad, I know, but I just laugh and shake my head. Although it's considered reality tv, it somehow takes me away from MY reality lol. I'm from the south and I still need the subtitles sometimes to figure out what they're saying lol.

I've no****ched the show or heard of it before reading this thread.

I have mixed feelings regarding this family. I do worry about the potential of exploitation (of the toddlers, from the Toddlers and Tiaras show - and now the cast of this spin-off) and have (admittedly)mounted my high horse occasionally (only to fall off).
As someone indicated, there are times when I think of this as a train wreck - waiting to happen (and I watch for it) and then I think about them in general terms. They don't seem to bother anyone, seem good natured and seem to live up to their potential and according to what they know. Sugar Bear seems to love his woman and seems to want to make 'an honest woman' of her. Of course then I wonder if she receives public assistance for her children - when the truth is, it isn't any of business.
Yesterday, I was thinking that Mama will get WLS, a nutritionist, plastics - a complete transformation and then she'll be on Dancing With The Stars (everyone is a star today). Of course, she may be on the show without the transformation.
I'll keep watching, for now.

I must be the only one that feels this way but LORD HAVE MERCY this had me in TEARS I was laughing so hard the other night. I had to take a break from watching the RNC and turned to Honey Boo Boo and never went back to watching the MitBot (seriously....doesn't he seem robotic sometimes?!?!?).
Any who....Honey Boo Boo, Chubbs, and Mama with the forklift toe ROCK. Two thumbs up...fine holiday fun!
*I think it also helps that I don't need the subtitles to understand them...or Swamp People on Discovery channel.....I know people that have thicker accents than they do!*
