Its almost a year since my surgery. Now the last couple weeks I've had problems eating. Before I was able to eat basically anything and everything with out any problems at all. Now after a few bites of anything I feel sick to my stomach. I never threw up but have heaviness in my stomach and sometimes hurting. What could be causing this?

I guess you could have a stricture this late. Otherwise, I don't have a clue but hope it resolves soon. You may want to give your Dr a call.

I still have bad days where things don't settle well. But weeks? Not so much.

Always call your surgeon if you're unsure. A stricture is pretty unlikely at this point, but there's a number of other possibilities that would need diagnosis and treatment.

It could be an ulcer, it could be a stricture, it could be your gall bladder. You might try an over the counter ulcer med and see if it makes it better. Other than that, I suggest you check in with your surgeon.

Please go get checked.  At a year out I was back on the table for exploratory surgery due to pain.  Had a Peterson's hernia and multiple bowel adhesions.
Don't ignore gut pain.
