What's for dinner - Monday!

Today I WILL "show up" at the gym. But first I have to go home and make dinner for my babies!!!!

Yes, I know it is head-shake-worthy that I am so maniacally excited that they are home but what can I say? I like my children! They have changed a bit over the summer. Of course, both seem taller to me but my 13 year-old seems...nicer? Is that mean to say? She was pure evil at one point (hormonal, I am sure) but now she is more agreeable and even has more friendly moments with my 10 year old. So...badumbump.

Anyway so tonight is home for dinner, then to the gym and then home to my girlz. Dinner...I am not sure what dinner is yet. :) I may stop at Safeway to get some low-carb tortillas to make quesadillas. We haven't had quesadillas in a while. 

Other eats today:

1. Coconut-Caramel Click (Triple C) in the shaker bottle
2. Two left over triangles of my Uno's Mediterranean pizza from Friday
3. Lasagna (homemade), salad and a plum
4. PB Greek yogurt

I was foiled in my efforts to move the hay from one end of the barn to the other. When I was clearing the destination end I discovered it is one huge ant bed. It was a painful discovery.
I did get it cleared out. I also cleaned the stalls, fed my chickens and did some cleaning in the backyard. Helped my mom a couple of times through the day, took my broken leg (healed) chicken outside for some quality time now that she is walking.
Getting ready to head out for my Spinnerval class. I want something easy and quick for dinner - EGGS!

B - click w/skim milk
L - baked pork chop, squash, green beans, peas
S - P28 w/ 1Tbs peanut butter
D - egg, egg whites, turkey bacon
S - cottage cheese w/ SF jello and fruit

edited for the best part - I also took a nap :)

I got a big ole crock of crock pot fame filled with chicken salsa. So, I'm going to be eating some chicken salsa over brown rice, with a ceasar salad, and some fresh sliced homegrown tomatoes and cucumbers. Damn that sounds good! Won't be eating until 7:30 or 8:00 but it'll be good when I get to it!

I'm 1 month post-op tomorrow so I am sitting here kinda sad smelling delicious sweet corn picked fresh from our local farmers market....oooooh it smells so good.
I'm going to have cottage cheese with a bit of pureed peach. *sighs*

I wish I knew when I will ever be able to eat a cob of corn again.

I am 4.5 years post op and corn on the cob still makes me hella full after like 3 bites.

Lots of fiber on those cobs!

Ugh. I was up wandering the house until around 2am this morning so i want a nap for dinner. But I have to stay up. That was night 3 of lack of sleep so I hope to crash tonight.

Did get a roast in the crock pot this morning so that's dinner. Gonna have htat with some spinach and black eyed peas. Potatoes for hubby.

Lunch was a leftover crab cake. Pepperoni chips with 2 tbsp of Super Humus (twice the protein, half the fat! Or so says the label that is probably lying)

Breakfast was a mixture that I made up Saturday for dinner. Chicken with onion, mushrooms, tomato, zucchini, can of black beans and some salsa. Added a tbsp of greek yogurt and a sprinkle of shredded cheese. Also had a boiled egg.

Had a greek yogurt for a snack.

It's been a "big pouch" day for me.

And the clock on the wall says it is quitting time!  WooHoo!

Ugh. I confess - I have eaten like crap today. Not crap as in like I used to eat before but worse than I should be eating. Too much grazing. I'm thinking maybe its PMS time...I need to start paying closer attention to that so I don't let it get the best of me. Resolve to do better starting NOW!

So I have my niece and nephew here to have a cousin slumber party. The kids are having mini-pizzas that they made from Papa Murphy's. I have chili simmering for my husband and I - even used some homegrown tomatoes.

Also need to drink another protein shake tonight. Might do an apple with greek yogurt. Would like to end the day on a healthier not than the rest of the day has been!

B - 1/2 cup LF cottage cheese
L - Boston Market rotisserie chicken thigh
D - Pork chop that has been cooking in the crock pot all day in a mix of onion soup & dry
       pork gravy mix
S - RF Sargento cheese stick
S - 2 SF popsicles...while I enjoy Hell's Kitchen!
