I had a similar realization about the kiddo's weight thing this weekend. My fam and I were hiking and my youngest tripped and fell and skinned up his leg pretty good. He was being pretty dramatic about it and we had nearly a mile to go before we got back to the trailhead. I told him to hop on and I would give him a piggy back ride. After a ways I thought to myself "Dang, self, this is hard and he's about 15 pounds lighter that my total lost so far!"

Congrats on losing the equivalent of two kids :)

my NEW home made chicken soup  :)   ;

now this is for a crowd ( i always make enough for 2 meals for 5 people.because i have 5 at home rite now an it is nice to have left overs in the freezer.)

3 quarts of water
3 cups chopped frozen mixed vegy (corn, green bean, peas.)
1/2 cup shopped fresh celery
1 med onion finely chopped
3 tbsp of your fav chicken bullion
6 thigh and leg quarters  (i have left over from Sunday dinner
they were roasted on a rack with a dry spice rub.)
1 pkg yolk free egg noodles

take the onion an microwave till warm and starting to become translucent.(about 2 min)
debone the chicken meat and discard every thing but the meat.
 use your biggest pot.
add every thing to the pot. EXCEPT the noodles.
bring it to a boil season.
with your fav spices. (i just use some morton natures seasons in my own bowel full.)

when it is boiling add the noodles an look out cause they are gonna knock you down to get it!

If ya could do a nutrition break down " I'll Love Ya forever!"

Here's what I had today.

Breakfast: ground pork/ a little marinara/ some reduced fat mozz. cheese (this meal made me sick, went right thru me)

Lunch: tuna, light mayo, shredded cheddar

Dinner: cottage cheese w/ some dijon mustard mixed in

I made brats for my husband, was thinking about trying them myself (removing the casing) but opted not to. Just seemed too greasy. The cottage cheese is NOT hitting the spot. sad face.......
