Finished my Celebrex and Nexium and no sign of pouch issues
I finished up my course of Celebrex and Nexium to get the inflammation down in my left knee yesterday, and I haven't had any signs of any pouch distress, so I think I am in the clear. I was a bit worried about the high dosage of the Celebrex, but I understood that we wanted to get the swelling down relatively quickly (the doctor was concerned about how it was affecting the blood flow in my leg side I already have issues with clot remnants). So today I had the cortisone injection in it. Hopefully that will get the rest of the swelling down and eliminate the pain that is above the level hat I have most of the time.

Wow very happy to hear you were able to handle the Celebrex so long as you took the Nexium. I have had 2 knee surgeries and am putting off a replacement due to bone on bone. :(
Good luck with the cortisone.
Good luck with the cortisone.
Awesome! So maybe since Nik has the "wonder pouch", you can have the "iron pouch"?

Hi Lora,
So glad you passed that hurdle...amazing how much you need that left knee isn't it? the pain can be so debilitating.
When I posted the other day about the Butran Patch someone responded about an anti-inflammatory that was pouch friendly FLECTOR I know nothing about it but was going to look it up , for all I know it could be an inject able
By the way the patch has helped A LOT , I don't feel tired at all and I have cut my Norco down to 1/2 in late afternoon and 1/2 at bed if needed...pretty exciting so far....only day 3 though
I sure hope the cortisone helps . If you are looking into knee replacement ( freak out time) look into makoplasty , my 12 y/o doc who is against replacement surgery unless absolutely necessary recommended it , he WAS with my ortho group and is not a surgeon, last Friday was his last day , they did not renew his contract could it be that he helped so many of us that their surgery schedule went down?? I was crying for 4 days last week
