(First...let us pause to remember The King...RIP Elvis...I still miss you!)

Ok, so...

Well, LORI, I ate the carbs FOR you yesterday. Ugh! Today is a new day though.

Curiously, I am wearing a dress today I haven't been able to fit since my bounce. So maybe there is something going inside my body.

Eats today, as I know them:

1. Protein Frappe
2. Subway sub (I got a foot long yesterday. Half yesterday, half today)
3. Coffee
4. Peanut curry veggies and "salt fish" (in quotes because not REAL Jamaican salt fish, just tilapia made a little extra salty to offset the sweetness of the curry)
5. Greek yogurt with Splenda + PB2

Good Morning!

I have alot of errands today with bloodwork to boot so I'm going to get up and put on the beef brisket in the crockpot and let it cook all day. Post Office, Grocery Store, Gas for the car, Labwork and take some school clothes back that were too small or too dressy.  Crazy kid. lol

Tentative since I'll be running around:

B-   Scrambled egg with fresh cherries on the side
S-   Cheese Stick
L-   Bought a salad from the grocery store yesterday so it needs to be eaten
D-  Beef Brisket (fine chopped) with potatoes and steamed cabbage

S-  SF fudgesicle or SF popsicle (Hubby is home at 4pm so we eat early which always leaves me wanting a small snack before bed.

Prayers for the interview...found out I was the only one who met with the company President so not sure if that's a good thing or bad...lol especially since the meeting lasted maybe 15-20 mins....super nice guy though!

Thanks all!!

Have a great day!

If a company president met with you AND gave you 20 minutes - that's a pretty good sign!

Thanks!  It's the first child and teen-free vacation out of the country that I've taken in a long time. I have friends there I'll be visiting...really excited and hoping I don't derail my WL!

So at the support group meeting on Monday night, we got into a discussion as to why/motivation for WLS. I admitted that I really wanted to develop a "normal" relationship with food. The Psych Doc facilitating the meeting said well normal folks have good days, bad days, and recognize that they need to adjust their eating to compensate for the fluctuations in their eating patterns. And he asked how I dealt with my sometimes tumultuous relationship with food. I said I guess I'm approaching normal. If I have a large pouch day one day or meal, I will adjust the volume accordingly for the day or the next meal, or perhaps I adjust my workout to burn a few more calories, but that I do adapt and adjust. Major light bulb moment for me! I'm on my way to normal....and it feels good.

I called out of work today.  I never do that.  Woke up this morning and my throat was on fire. It hurts to talkbut I feel prtty much normall so I will go for a run and also take the pooch on a nice, long walk.

Breakfast- 1 egg w/  black beans and the corn from 1/2 ear of fresh corn on the cob.

No clue for the rest of the day.  Since I'm home I didn't need to plan ahead.  We'll see what the day and the fridge brings.

Go girl! I bet the dress looks fab.

I still can't straighten my arms. I had them rolled with a PVC pipe, I slathered them in Absorbine, I stretched, I iced....nothing.  I've gotta outrun zombies in 2 days, yo--I don't have time to be walking around like a damn Tyrannosaurus!

Anyway, breakfast will be an Atkins shake, slugged down on the way to the gym. Gotta do report cards today for my kiddos and teach class, then go home and meet my landlord. He's pulling out my carpet today, weeeee!  It's kinda fugly. Very 1970s. I will be psyched to see it go.

Lunch will probably be a frozen meal.

I need to pick up some cottage cheese for a snack. But since I won't be shopping today, I'll have to settle for string cheese and roasted edamame.

Dinner...not sure. Ravioli and meatballs sounds really good.
