B - tried some leftover stew but my grouchy pouch said no way
L - couple small chicken strip bites and some grapes
S - apple slices with very berry greek yogurt
D - tried to eat some chicken pot pie but my tummy got really upset - I think from the 2 cucumber slices I tried a bit before that. Hadn't had raw veggies much yet and pouch did not like that. After my tummy settled down, I tried again - but not as good of a choice - a few tortilla chips with melted cheese and a drizzle of taco sauce. My 4 yo son kept stealing some so he kept my portion under control.

Still working on my first protein drink of the day. Have to at least finish that one.

Ugh. Gotta do better tomorrow!

I'm doing my version of a taco Mayo veggie burrito.  It is essentially brown rice and black beans with some onion, jalapeno, and spices and a little mexican cheesse.  If I were to wrap it in a tortilla shell it would taste the same.  Instead I will skip it and only eat the inside.

I am hem-hawing about this whole carb count thing. A part of me wants to try the less than 30, but another part - the hungry, veggie and fruit loving part - says let's just eat, please?

So depending on what side of the fence I fall on tonight -
either egg whites, turkey bacon and cheese
or the above AND a piece of P28 toast

and... maybe... a nectarine??? I think I would probably glimpse heaven.

go for it! glimpse heaven and eat the nectarine. I say this because staying at 50 or less carbs hasn't done anything for me AND because your carbs come from fruits and veggies, meaning they come with fiber and lots of great nutrients.

Now if you said you had an urge for a wonder bread and bologna sandwich, I would say wonder bread is the devil...lol

Less than 30 carbs? For reAl? Hon, do that for more than two days and see how your tri training is impacted

Be happy.

yikes those are the magic words... I have worked too hard to have to back off now - especially since I registered for a shorter sprint tri that is just in 3 weeks!

Done!
And it was divine!!  (AND I had a piece of P28 with my dinner... the blasphemy of it all)

So I am still around 70 on carbs.... way more than 30 , but at least half what I have been averaging the last little while. And that is counting my late night mint cookie too   :)
