Weight vs. Size
This is advice I need to take my damn self!
Your WEIGHT is not always going to be indicative of your SIZE.
I point this out because I see a fair number of people post about their families worrying about them losing too much weight. They can't see your weight. They CAN see your size.
And I personally am guilty of posting about scale frustrations without giving any credence to my size.
I would venture to guess many of you, if given the option to ONLY make one choice between appearing skinny but having a higher weight OR appearing heavier and having a lower weight you'd choose the former. I'm willing to bet my paycheck on it.
And if that doesn't make sense to you consider this: I know a lot of post-ops who LOOK bigger than me but weigh much less. So I speak from experience here.
So what we all have to remember - again, me being at the forefront of the pack - is that weight and size work together with a bunch of other factors to determine your success in this process.
Even though we may be still on the journey, don't be guilty of what I did last night. Don't negate your entire progress based on the number on the scale. Don't give it that power and don't let it rob you of your victory.
That is all!
