What are you eating/doing today? Tuesday!!!

So yesterday's scale "moment" (I won't call it a meltdown because I was just mad but I think I reacted in a healthy way). I'm sort of over it. I was more mad at myself than anyone else. And I have the weirdest way of making myself feel better. You all are going to think I am cracked.

There is this dress I wore for Easter at my low weight. It is so CUTE! I decided to wear it today. Now one might think "Nik, you have regained. Wouldn't that make you feel WORSE if the dress didn't fit?" But here's the anamoly. At a fully 26 lbs HEAVIER than my low weight, the dress still fits. Differently yes (I have a lot more boobs now than then) but it fits. Lookit:

Me in the dress at my low weight:

Versus me in it today (more hips, boobs and I ditched the jacket):

So now that you have all shared a vanity moment with me, let us move on the POINT of this post.

Doing: Working, probably going to the gym after work, then doing some laundry. I'm in "Diva return countdown" mode.

Eats:

1. Click Frapp in a moment
2. Probably a McD's Southwest Salad on my way back from the bank
3. Greek yogurt with PB2 before hitting the gym
4. I made a delicious peanut curry veggie medley with cabbage, orange zucchini, onions, eggplant and peas. It needs some protein. Might get a few shrimp to throw in there.
5. Probably a Click decaf as I'm not likely to follow through with the protein in #4 (I am turning into a closet vegetarian).

Have a good day all!

Good morning, Diva!  You look awesome no matter what the scale says.

My tummy is not 100% today.  And, I'm off to a rough start.

So far, I'm on my 2nd cup of coffee and I've had one piece of chocolate...

I've packed:

B - power crunch bar
L - peanut butter & banana on whole wheat
D - better be packed with protein!

Have a great day!

Seriously Nik, you look amazing!

Today, my 2 boys (ages 4 and 6) are each having a school friend over for a playdate - sorta a last chance before school starts in a few weeks. I am hoping my nearly 1 yr old naps at the same time so I can get some stuff done - I have this laundry basket full of papers to sort through and organize and clothes I'd like to weed out for both me and my little one. We'll see what gets accomplished! And then maybe haircuts for the boys later today.

B: Less than 1/2 slice of bread with 1 piece of summer sauage with a dab of butter
L: Leftover stew or a few pasta noodles with the spaghetti meat sauce I am making for the kids and their friends
S: Leftovers of something...trying to clear out leftovers from the weekend before they go bad. I have stew, taco fixings, and chicken in there already plus we will have lunch leftovers.

2 protein drinks

It's the old adage of muscle weighs more than fat but takes up less space... in picture form...

Yesterday was a good eating day.  I can't remember if I came in and posted.  I was training nurses all day and it's a blur.  Ended the day at 1073 calories, and that's only because I made myself add a protein bar around 10pm and then a nsa hot chocolate around 1130pm.  I had a good Insane Cardio workout at the gym too.  I was sucking wind.

That makes me wish my BMF had a heart rate monitor.  They may say they do not find it useful, but I would.  And then I would not need to contemplate purchasing and wearing another monitor on my body.  *sigh*

Today's eats:

24 oz water on the way to work.
B - fage, cherries, splenda
s - hot decaf green tea, splenda
L - 1/2 lc pita, laughing cow cheese, chicken breast, spinach, cottage cheese, pepperoncinis
s - 1 1/2 scoop mint cookie protein made with water
D - Um... dinner again?  I'm gonna look for a nice easy new recipe to try with ground beef today I think.

Todays dos:
Normally today would be a rest day, but I need to find something to do and just do it.  There are no classes at my gym today.  Probably won't be able to make the yoga class at the studio.  May just try one of my new workout DVDs or run.

Your BMF DOES have a heartrate monitor as that's one of the measures it uses. It just doesn't tell YOU what your heartrate is. But I agree...I would love to see that added.

Hmmm everything on the website says it doesn't sense heart rate because they've found it does not increase data accuracy...

I wi**** did, because my heart was a thumping way more than my feet were a jumping last night!

I'm with Heather on this one.. pretty sure it doesn't measure heart rate at all.  You can integrate with a garmin HRM but even then it doesn't use that data in its calorie burn data.. just displays it in your activity manager.

You are right. I misread. They have a "heat sensor" not a "heart sensor."

and there ya go. You look marvelous, dear.

So do I get an A for effort at least on my workout today - planned to run 3 miles at lake this morning with BFF at 530. It was raining which was fine but then it started lightning. Off to the gym we went. did a mile on the hamster wheel - ugh. Off to the inside track and did two laps and ..ugh. so the rain had slacked off so we ran off outside...enough to get 2.7 in total...then i headed home and did 4 trips up my driveway to push me over the 3 mile mark. Geez.

- 4 eggwhites and 2 banana pancakes with sf syrup
- Lean Cuisine pepperoni pizza at lunch (as I run off to get a pedi hopefully)
- cottage cheese and applesauce mixed
- salisbury steak with a salad, deviled eggs, and steamed broccoli for dinner
- a snack of probably a pink lady apple (I found some beauties this weekend!) later on tonight.

Meow.

Be happy.
