Progress Pics and NSV
I am a little over 8 months now. I have come far, weighing in at 307+ (I don't know my highest weight, cause I never weighed myself again after I found out I weighed 307, but I'm sure I got to 310-315) to weighing 160 lbs. from a tight 28+ & a 5x, to a lose 13/14, most likely a 12, (I have a few size 11 shorts) but I refuse to buy new clothes at this point cause I keep outgrowing, or "out shrinking" my clothes. I am now in a medium too. I wear mostly dresses now, cause they seem to last me the longest. I can wear them even if they start to get big, but I can't do that with pants cause they fall off once they get to big. I have lost 74 lbs since surgery, with a grand total of 147 lbs, whi*****ludes the 73 lbs. I lost before my surgery.
I feel wonderful! There are no words to explain how great I feel! I went ice skating last week for the first time in 13 years! It felt great to be out in the ice with my students instead of in the sidelines. I wouldn't trade anything for my new life. I'm enjoying every minute of it! And it's not being thinner. For the most part I don't think about that. It's the fact that I can move without any aches it pain. It's being able to go out and walk for miles and participate in all the activities. I use to go out and try to participate, but I was always the first one "done for the day!" Now Im the one who want to keep going! Like I said, it's been wonderful!Even my hubby lost weight! 50 LBS!

Dkasten, you should post your pics too! I love seeing progress pics! The only person *****ally says "stop losing weight!" is my mom. But I tell her, " when I was 160 lbs before, you would say, 'If you would only lose 20 lbs', and now that I am 160, you keep telling me, 'stop!'. Make up your mind!" I also tell her not to worry. I'm working with my doctor to be healthy and I'll stop losing when my body is healthy and I do remind her that some people tend to lose to the point that they look gaunt before their body redistributes the weight again and some people have a bounce back, so don't worry about it. It can take up to two years before I get to my new weight. Until then, just get used to the idea that I will keep losing until my body reaches its "happy weight".
