Belated B-day present or Murphy's Law?

Woke up at 2:15 last night, and had a call to the porcelain throne. Taking the few steps from be to reach the throne, I managed to trip on something, bounce off the bathroom door, and plant my upper lip on the edge of the sink countertop. Lip swelled up so much, it was difficult to sleep the rest of the night. That's bad enough, but today I finally had the courage to look at my teeth. One front tooth is chipped, is sensitive (so I can't bite on it) and has a crack in it. DAVE

awww geeze Dave, bathrooms are dangerous places , because no matter where you fall you are going to hit something !! unless you have an ultra large bathroom, and then you would still hit the hard floor.
I tripped on a throw rug in the middle of the night...go figure.
Sure hope you can get that tooth taken care of tomorrow !!!

Yikes!! Hate to hear about your middle of the night tumble. Hate it even worse for you that you apparently are going to have to go to the dentist. I hate the dentist. Hope everything heals well and you apprehend the evil item that started this whole incident. I know throw rugs are evil in the middle of the night when your not awake enough to pick up your feet. Best wishes.

Oh, my! I absolutely HATE having dental work done. I hope you can get the problem fixed without too much pain and aggravation. Definitely NOT a good birthday present!

It's been "the pits" today, trying to eat without using front teeth. Lip is still swollen and limited feeling under upper lip. Bottom of tooth is jagged, where some chipped off. That's not the part that worries me--it's the crack up the tooth. DAVE

OH CRAP - what a bad night. Need to take a trip to the dentist tomorrow to look at that tooth. He might be able to save it from any further deterioration.
