So pissed, and crying...

My husband has been gone for 5 months (not that long considering what we have been through), but I (we...but me alone with the kids) have been through a lot during this deployment.  The latest being having to put our dog of 11 years down a week ago.  Then they delayed him three weeks from his original "days deployed", and my in laws have been causing major issues.  Now, they effed up and he and some other guys are stuck six states away.  He was supposed to land at 1100 pm, and now MIGHT get here at noon tomorrow, and then has about 4 hours of paperwork to do.  I'm so pissed right now...the first thing I reached for was hard lemonade.  I am so angry right now.

okay, I am really really really sorry this is happening to you, it sucks!  I am an army brat and remember when my father was going home form deployment and didn't show when he was due and came home two weeks late.  We lived on an Army Base at the times.  I remeber other kids' fathers not come home at all or if they did they were  missing limbs or in a body bag.  I really didn't understand to much back then but now I realize I was one of the lucky kids.

Oh I know we are one of the lucky ones...it has just been a really stressful deployment, personally, and I just want a hug from my husband.

*hug* I'm so sorry he's been delayed.

As an Army wife, I completely understand the excitement of a homecoming and the disappointment that happens when something interrupts.

My husband deployed when our daughter was 4 weeks old, and is currently 18 months into a 24 month deployment. On his last visit home, he called me from the airport and said that Southwest Airlines had overbooked and that he would be stuck at the airport until the next morning. I was PISSED. When you have so little time, every hour counts.

Hang in there, girl. He'll be home soon. If you can handle 5 months, you can handle 12 more hours. :)
I'm very sorry to hear about your dog. That's awful, and I'm sorry you had to handle that on your own.

Not much longer now. :)

I know it's frustrating, but he'll be home soon.  I've BTDT with deployments (my husband is retired Navy).  You will forget all about this the moment you wrap your arms around him.  Please thank him for his service.  God bless.

My son is a Marine so I feel your pain. I know you and the kids are anxious to see him but look at the bright side - he is home safe.
