What's for dinner - Monday!

Man, that zucchini fritter is filling. I'm still full and I ate it a few hours ago!

Dinner tonight will be an egg-chilada. I swear I love those things. Quick, easy and yummmmmmmmy!

I am also going to spin class. I'm excited. Even though the instructor has the personality of a carrot, I have a cute workout outfit and last week I rocked that sweat for all it was worth!

After class I'll prolly go down to the weight room and do some upper body stuff. I am so weak in the upper body. I do some sets of (assisted) pull-ups and some kettlebells and whatnot. Tomorrow is Body Pump so I don't want to pu**** too much. But I figure whatever I can do to get my shoulder and chest muscles in better shape the better. I no like being weak!

Anyway, here's what else I've had today:

1. A handful of honey roasted soy nuts
2. Protein Frappe
3. Zucchini fritter on WW Arnold Thin with my "special sauce"

IF I need a late night snack I'll do Greek yogurt with berries and Fiber One (gotta love that fiber!).

I am back on peanut butter restriction for anyone who is interested. If you see me here or on FB talking about PB you have my full permission to call me out, k?

What's on your plate today?

Well I am post op three weeks now.  Today I get to graduate from two shakes a day and a 1/2 egg to 2 shakes a day and a 1/4 of a protien from a list,  I am excited about that opportunity.

I have been so excited about being able to work out. I can't lift weights for another week or two.  I did make it to the YMCA to walk on the treadmill but I got blisters so bad on both feet I have to wait a few days before I can go back.  My feet are not used to closed toe shoes.

I was so ready to go this am but I chickened out.  Having a little trouble getting off my butt and actually doing it. I need an exercise partner to talk to and get motivated with.

I joined a local group here in Tucson for WL and I might have found someone who had surgery two days after mine.

What is an egg-chilada?

It is 100 degrees outside and I am making veggie soup!  Just sounded good.....will eat some the next couple of days and freeze the rest.   It will be handy to pull out on a crisp fall evening (btw I LOVE FALL).  Or I might freeze individual servings to take to work.

So far today, I have had protein shake, pineapple, and the innards of a grinder sandwich.
Slow and steady !!!!  Have a Blessed Day !!!!!!

Soup is on my list of things I can have like- lentil or split pea. Even though it is so hot out I am going to put up a pot of split pea. I have a ham bone to do so.  and yes I will freeze the rest.  Maybe it is something about the comfort foods that make us feel better right now, even though it is so hot out.  Thank goodness for a/c.  Fall is my favorite season as well.

So far today hasn't been too bad.

For breakfast I had a Quest bar. Snack was a Breakstone's Cottage Double.

Lunch was NIk's buffalo chicken salad. Had 2 Wasa crisp bread wafers with that and a Fiber one brownie.

Dinner is the hubby's famous spaghetti sauce. Spa-chili is what I call it since I eat in in a bowl sans pasta and it has canellini beans in it. Actually really looking forward to that.

For a late snack I will probably have a greek yogurt with some strawberries and a splenda packet.

Right now I really wish I had remembered to bring a cheesestick in to work. Kinda empty. Oh well, only 20 minutes and I am on my way home. I can make that.

We stopped at Subway while we were grocery shopping.

I got 2 scoops of tuna on a salad.  I didn't eat the salad just the tuna, I would approximate it was about 2 oz. of tuna salad.

I am making Nik's taco casserole later on (if I have the energy) or I will make it tomorrow.
