Does D3 hurt your pouch too?

I am noticing that when I take my D3 it hurts my pouch like the Chantix does. Nothing else hurts it like this. Anyone have any advice on how to not have it hurt my tummy? Anyone else have this problem?

No, I've not had any problem with my D3. I hope you figure out what's going on soon!

Thanks, me too. I just put two and two together. At night I take a "****tail" of pills including my D3 and my nightly pills have been hurting me. Then I tried the D3 alone and it hurt. None of the others hurt.

What D3 are you taking?  Is it dry?  I take vitacost D3 2000 mg daily for years and it never bothered me.  Good luck!

I take dry D3 by Swanson 2000 IU a day.

D levels of 80-90 or slightly more are highly desireable for a number of reasons.  For this reason, my recent D labs were a 104 taking 7 of the 50K IU dry D3 for over 1 1/2 years. I buy them from Vitalady.com .  No ill feelings from them whatsoever. Dave

I'm wondering if it might be something else in the supplement, like some sort of filler or binder, rather than the D3 itself.  That's not a common thing that D3 causes stomach pain.

I would suggest trying a different brand.

Also, 2000 IU is a pretty small dose.  You could take a larger dose once a week instead of a small dose every day.  At least then if it hurt your tummy, you'd only have to deal with it once a week instead of daily.

Do you take it with food?  That might help, too.

I haven't been taking it with food. I'll try that. I have been very bad about taking my D3 and just did bloodwork. I am almost 100% sure that I am going to be deficient. I will get some high dose D3 because anything that I can take once a week instead of daily would be awesome. LOL.

I recently experienced this taking a new multi-vitamin with iron and additional iron to boot.  I take the D-3 gelcaps....need to find something else so that I can keep taking them for the moment I went back to the flintstones which I know aren't giving me all I need.   Since I stopped taking them though the soreness has gone away.  I thought it was the huge multi-vitamin I was swallowing.    HTH!  sherry

You can use an adult chewable multi if you want.  You just need one that is made for adults and has 100% of the RDA of most things in it.

When you say you take D3 gelcaps, do you mean the soft gels with oily stuff inside?  Because we malabsorb fats so we don't absorb vitamins in oil very well.  We do better with dry D3.
