I feel funny asking about DINNER...

When I just asked a little while ago what you were eating today. But what the heck?

I have since decided that I'm going to be completely and totally financially irresponsible and go get the damn pedicure. I go years without doing anything for myself and dammit, it ain't right! Besides $40 isn't going to make or break me at this point (yes, I'm going for the SPA pedicure...). I will also get my McD's salad. I will probably regret this next week but let's live in the moment, shall we? Carpe Diem!

Here's what else I had today:

1. Breakfast Sammich: whole wheat Arnold Thin with a fried egg and a piece of cheese
2. Jimmy John's Beach Club Unwich

So as you can see my day has not been off the hook. I'll probably have some Greek yogurt later this evening as I take my life's frustrations out on my bathtub. Well...maybe not "as." Probably after. After that and a hand wash, matter of fact. Cuz "as" would be gross.

Anyhoo...what's on your plate tonight?

It does seem like it would be hard to eat yogurt while scrubbing the bathtub.    And kinda messy.

I had a protein bar this morning and sliced bell peppers with hummus for lunch.  And just finished half a shortbread cookie at Panera where I am escaping the ridiculous heat in my house because my air condition is not up to the task when it's 95 degrees outside.  I think I am having salad for dinner.

I think of you now every time I go to the farmer's market. There is a hummus guy. He has been interesting in his flavors lately though. Like he has a chocolate  hummus. I wasn't too into that. But I love his Asian Fire Hummus.

And I love, love, love this stuff called Mesir Wat (it's an Ethiopian red lentil dip). OMG! If you've never had it you must seek it out if you're ever anywhere near an Ethiopian restaurant.

(Ok...yeah...I'm hungry...)

Chocolate hummus does not sound right to me.

Last time I went to the farmer's market, this lady was selling homemade chocolate raspberry jam.  It was good.

 It was...weird.

But my faves are chipotle hummus and edamame hummus. Mmmmmmm...

I keep saying I'm going to make some pea hummus as I have a large amount of local peas in the freezer.

Hi Kelly, What kind of hummus do you eat? Or do you make your own? I've never had it and have been wanting to try it but don't know anything about it.

Glad you are getting the pedi. I read your post the other day about a windfall of money.

I was put on pureed foods because of a protein intolerance since my surgery. So, I am having to get all my protein from food. I found a nice crab that comes in a pouch that has 10 grams for 2 oz. So I am going to make up 2 oz of that with a tiny bit of FF mayo for dinner and some Greek yogurt for my snack tonight =)

Um...you didn't read a post from ME about a windfall of money.

I'm about as broke as a joke! And bleeding money by the minute.

But I figure if doing one nice thing for myself a month keeps me from going postal on someone, it's an investment ;)

No, sorry. I think it was about "what would you do if a windfall (there was a different word used) came your way" .. You mentioned the spa pedi as something you would do.  I had one a week before my surgery...first one in about 6 years. I have three kids, so it's rare for me to do anything for myself. I do hope you enjoy your pedi and your salad!!
