I don't dump so long as I do heavy protein IMMEDIATELY before the offending food. So far I've used that knowledge responsibly.

OMG... so THAT'S why... you just gave me an epiphany about why I don't dump on things that I "should" dump on sometimes... it's the protein I ate prior vs no protein... wow... wish I didn't know that... LOL

For me it's always been more of a "mind over matter" thing. Being a recovering food addict, in life in general I don't eat as much as I know I CAN. So I try to use what I know about my body for good and not evil.

Now somethings will make me feel funny no matter when I eat them (baklava, for example). But not a "full dump" and I know that too many carbs, dumping or not, is going to eventually result in a massive blood sugar drop. So my body still has checks and balances.

that dessert sounds amazing.  We have a P F Changs in Birmingham, but I've yet to go there....

I love their hot and sour soup... and I found out that there is only 70 cal in a cup, 8 net carbs and 4g protein.  I was SO EXCITED!

I've never eaten at PF Changs.  There is not one anywhere near me that I know of.  Those banana spring rolls sound lovely.

They are the BEST restaurant! They have tons of vegetarian offerings, gluten-free offerings, their plate sizes are reasonable and they don't try to force rice on you (I asked that they bring none and they brought none!).

But my eternal love for them actually comes from the fact that they have more than just the standard sugar-free drink triumvirate (water, plain unsweetened iced tea and Diet Coke). Before my meal came I had something called Fiesta Tea which was unsweetened and citrusy. They have a few other iced tea flavors that you sweeten yourself as well as some great decaf hot tea offerings (like a divine peach tea!).

I just love...them...

 I embrace it now, LOL.

One of the most prolific things I learned (and I credit Shari for this is) that you can eat a lot of FOOD without eating a lot of calories. And you can eat a lot of FOOD for not alot of calories, that doesn't have a lot of CARBS.

Once I figured that out it was on like popcorn. Now I enjoy decent sized, low calorie, low carb, high protein meals. With zero guilt.

And every now and again I go crazy like I did last night. Again, zero guilt. This is the life I wanted to live food-wise.
