Oh!  Good idea!  Thanks for the input.  My plan doesn't have me wait for beef either (as long as it's moist).

How do you know how much you ate? Did you take your scale with you? If it was just 2oz would mean one thing 16oz would be another. You have to not only know what you are eating but how much as well. The amount was always my problem, not what I ate. I don't go into places like that.

I generally don't weigh my food.  I am learning my limits and I can tell you that I could never down even close to 16 oz at this point.    My surgeon said I'm on the high end of weight loss for how far along I am.  I'm quite happy with my success thus far and think we all have to find our own "right way" along this journey.  Of course this requires adhering to our surgeon's guidelines, which I have done religiously.

When I'm out and about and need to eat, I go to a grocery store deli and have them slice 1 or 2 slices of turkey and a slice or 2 of cheese for me. The last time I did that it cost me $1.68. Cheap and good for you!

my fitness pal lists the nutritional value of this sandwhich without bun and without sauce as follows:

250 calories
14g fat
80mg cholesetrol
1250mg sodium
6g carbs
26g protein

Hope that helps!!!

Thanks for the info!  Wow, high in fat...and sodium!  I love the protein, but it comes at a pretty high price.
