This is what I like to call a "starter" recipe. It gets you started toward YOUR unique recipe. I didn't add any meat or additional protein, but that doesn't mean you shouldn't! In fact, I give some suggestions for meat eaters in the post and very much need some suggestions from my vegetarian friends!

So check out the beginnings of a great dinner on Bariatric Foodie!

Uh...that would require that I measured it before I started eating. Which I did not. Sorry!

If I had to GUESS, I'd say um...about 4-ish. I ate a little bit (probably less than a half cup) the night I made it), then another half cup yesterday with my egg foo yung patty, a cup and a half today and there looks to be about another cup and half to two cups left. So 4-5(ish).

Clear as mud, right?

lol, well it's a good estimate anyway, I can measure it out when i make it.  I haven't made quinoa since surgery, but i have some just calling my name.  Maybe this weekend!

I think I would put Morningstar Farms fake chicken stuff in it or Tofurkey Italian sausages.

Hi there! I didn't know anything about quinoa so I googled it...lol :) Do you ever worry about the amount of carbs in it?
