Adding Protein Powder to Hot Soups/Cereal
Hi all!
I was wondering if anyone has any advice about adding protein powders to soups and/or cereals? I want to make some cream of wheat but the last time I added the protein powder it ended up clumping up instead of being smooth. Also, if I do make soup and refrigerator or freeze it will the protein powder clump up when I reheat it?
Thanks!
Jennifer

Add the protein powder BEFORE you heat it. Heat slowly and stir occasionally. Idont; know about freezing. It is fine to refrigerate something with protein powder in it, but I woudl hesitate to do it fro more than a day, though. Personally, I would refrigerate or freeze the soup without the protein powder, then add the powder right before you reheat it.

You don't drown by falling in the water. You drown by staying there.
...Always make a little water paste with your protein powders with the warm/ho****er you are going to add it to that way it doesn't think you are tryin to add dumplin dough to hot broth.
I learned in culinary school :
any gravies or soups that need thickening by anything flour, baking powder , thick it, potatoe flakes or protein powder should be put in a little warm/ ho****ery consistency before adding.Plus you can see how thick it becomes before you create a cement block by adding too much
