1. Have you had any negative reactions to food?

Yes

2. If yes, what foods make you sick?

beef roast, milk, too much sugar.  Oh after reading Neen's comments I wanted to add cereal and milk is a killer for me also.  I've had 3 serious dumps in 7 years the worse being on cereal and milk.

3. If yes, what symptoms have you experienced when you got sick from food?

Beef roast - gets stuck EVERYTIME

Milk makes me nauseated so I avoid it.

Sugar **** keeps trying sugar even though I get nauseasted.  Somedays I really wish I'd have a full on dumping episode maybe (probably not) then I'd quit attempting my BIGGEST vice.

While I have had many food reactions, here are the ones that have so far not gone away:

1- Eggs- Still feel like lead is going down my stomach. The also give me terrible gas
2- Milk- Terrible gas and the cha-chas. Also symptoms similar to dumping even though I donb't dump unless I consume a big amount of sugar at once
3- oatmeal, cream of wheat, or any other kind of warm cereal- I feel like I can blow up after a few spoons, no matter how is prepared
5- Steak- if is cooked more than med rare, it is horrible. I hate not being able to eat med rare steak now that I am pregnant.

I have had literally just 2 handfulls of negative reactions to food in my 5 years.  There are only 5 foods that ever bothered me and only three of them continue to bother me: some kinds of apple skins and ALL kinds of citrus fruit membranes make me queasy and then give me intestinal cramping and horrible gas, and then more than a tiny bite of an onion ring makes me vomit (or be so sick that I wish I could/would!).  Bacon used to make me nauseous but I am fine with a single piece at this point: coffee made my pouch burn for several years after my RNY but is fine now (I drink coffee only a few times  a year so it wasn't a big deal NOT to drink it).

Too much sugar or too many carbs at one meal make me dump... I think.... I get the shakes, my heart races and I have problems speaking coherently.

Only problem I have is with sugar.  I dump (nauseated, sweats & racing heart).  But that doesn't stop me from eating it...

I've dumped on sugar a couple times.

Pasta doesn't make me sick but it feels heavy in my pouch and I don't really like the feeling so I don't eat it very often.  Same with cereal.

I got really sick once after eating some baked potato soup at a restaurant.  I think it was high in fat.  Halfway home, I had to pull over on the side of the road to throw up.

1. Have you had any negative reactions to food?

Yes, unfortunately.

2. If yes, what foods make you sick?

I cannot seem to tolerate rice, also it seems most Asian foods (thai/chinese) from restaurants make me very sick to my stomach. Pasta (unless it's a very small quantity).  Bread (unless it's a very limited quantity).

3. If yes, what symptoms have you experienced when you got sick from food?

Anything from a general uncomfortability, to ending up having to vomit to feel better.  For the most part I just avoid these foods and all is well.  Occassionally something spicy or very acidy makes me feel stomach upset but I feel that is more reactionary to my history of ulcers.
