Bread, rice and pasta
These are the thing the WL Center told me to avoid until I was 3-6 months out. I have indeed
avoided them, however, I find 3-6 months to be an awfully big window of time. When did you
start eating them? Any issues after eating them? ( I don't plan on incorporating them in my
daily eating, but once in awhile I will indulge.)

I am not to have them until I am 6 months out and at that time it is brown rice and whole wheat pasta one serving a day.
I am just now 3 months out and I find that this was a pretty good time frame to really get comfortable with my protein intake. I was getting all of my protein in, but no where near enough calories. My doc told me to start adding in some starches like these, but to do it in a smart way. Today, I made homemade whole grain bread and added in some unflavored protein. It was really an experiment, but it turned out really well!! I have had two small slices, and it helped up my calorie intake and still had some added protein . I would not have added starches before 3 months out, and I probably wont eat them very often (maybe once every couple of days****il at LEAST 6 months.

I was encouraged not to have any kind of "white food" until at least 6 months out, although I was "allowed" anything and everything after 3 months. I would just encourage you to avoid these things for as long as possible. They are nothing but empty carbs, take up space in your pouch that you need for protein, and may make it much easier for you to slide back into old habits before you even have NEW eating habits firmly established. Six months without pasta is really not that big a deal in the scheme of things. You will never find anyone who is successfully maintaining their weight loss who will say that they wished they had allowed themselves to "indulge" in sugars, breads, pastas, etc. earlier than they did, but you will find MANY people who have struggled with significant regain who will tell you that they wish they and avoided those things longer than they did.
I cannot emphasize enough that you (not just you specifically, but everyone who is early out) really need to embrace the new eating habits and solidify new, healthy eating habits rather than looking towards how soon you can re-incorporate into your diet the foods that contributed to the obesity in the first place.

You don't drown by falling in the water. You drown by staying there.
I probably have one serving of bread or rice or pasta once every month or perhaps once every three weeks. And probably never more than 1/4th of a serving in any given week.
I don't consider bread, white sugar, white flour, rice, or white potatos to be a part of my diet ..... ever... but sometimes it ccomes up... I don't avoid like the plague.... I keep it to one spoon at a time

I chased my dreams, and my dreams, they caught me!
I had little amounts of pasta early out, like 1/4 cup at best. I don't eat bread at all, just my choice though my plan allows 1 peice of toast. As for rice, I only have it if its with sushi. I started eating sushi around 2-3 months out. Just be careful and ration it out. Also, always make sure you have a protein with it. Sushi is a good source since its fish, fish eggs, etc.
I'm five months out and have been eating one slice of Brownberry's double protein bread a several times a week for about six weeks. I realized today that it's too much for me to eat when I eat it with sliced turkey but would probably be okay with peanut butter. I don't eat rice, pasta, or potatoes. Those were problem foods for me before wls and I will try to stay away from them permanently.
