My 6 years Post Op & Head Issues (Very Long)

Thanks for the kind words and reception to my post.

Funny but when I did group theory, they seemed to almost want these deep dark issues of significant trauma to erupt as if they were expecting that was the only reasoning for my head issues. I was probably one of the least 'complicated' people there(and yet I'm so complicated lol).

I didn't have any terribly horrendous things happen to me.  The worst I can say was that I grew up an only child who was very responsible and wanted to please.  I had a father and grandma who were constantly on me for my weight issues and a mother who fed me mostly processed garbage while she battled and eating disorder of her own.

I worry about those who have much deeper, darker issues.   The supports for psychological care post op are missing in most programs.  I think we need so much more.

Thabks again!!

Well, the trauma was what got me from MO to SMO, but it was just bein raised by a Marine who had very high expectations and minimal capacity for dealing with the tender hearts of little girls that got me to the MO point.  Nothing earth-shattering, just some pressure and self esteem issues that many adolescent girls face.  The trauma just sent my eating for comfort or anxiety relief into overdrive.  I would eventually have ended up SMO without it... it just would have taken longer.
