Protien Drinks - what is your favorite?

I'm a band patient that is looking to get the bypass, while I'm in the process of this journey I'm starting to do things that will support a healthy living post-op.   I've tried a few protien drinks and so far I'm not able to choke any down.  Isopure was so chalky and I'm not a huge fan of milky shakes.  Is there a protien powder that I can put into food or drinks that has no flavor?    What do you do for protien drinks?   I need to find something for when I"m in my liquid stage.

There are "unflavored" but that does not mean that they have no flavor. It just means that you get the flavor of the protein without any covering flavors. I think Unjury makes one, also a chicken soup one (I've heard)

I'm not a fan of Unjury.

When I was losing, I used Syntrax Nectar fruit flavors, and now I use Syntrax Matrix strawberries and cream or orange and cream with a lot of water and crystal light.

I wrote the following and put it in my blog, I hope you don't mind the "cut and paste"

When I was in the losing phase I used Syntrax Nectars: (fuzzy navel, natural peach, natural orange were my favorite flavors) with 90 calories, 23.5 grams of Whey Isolate Protein and zero fat and zero carbs:

Now that I'm in Maintenance I generally use Syntrax Matrix Strawberries and cream or Oranges in cream, cheapest in the 5-lb bag:

with strawberry or orange crystal light:

mixed in a paper cup:

stirred with a plastic spoon:
(so I'm getting a bit silly)

then poured in an arrowhead sport bottle:

This is 120 calories, 10 from the crystal light, 110 from the protein powder, 23.5 grams of protein, 1.5 g sugar, 1.5 g fat and 20 to 22 ounces of water.

I have a water dispenser in my classroom:

I tend to top off the one bottle of protein drink all day long, then recycle that bottle and start with a fresh one the next day. I feel somewhat bad for creating so much waste, but I've balanced it out and decided that overall this way I get LOTS of liquids, and get all my necessary protein via shakes (and still try to get 30 to 50 grams of protein from food as well). My first three protein shakes of the day are full scoop, then I drop to half scoop. I also add my UpCal D to the beverage to get my calcium:

It's so funny that you posted this. I should've looked before I started a new post. Ha. I have just fallen in love with the Syntrax Nectar Double Cookie. It is definitely worth the extra money.

Right now I am in love with Syntrax Mint Cookie, Chike Coffee and Chike Orange.

See some of the best flavors sound like they just wouldn't do if mixed with water, and I've never met a protein powder that I could handle mixed with fake (or real) milk.

Mint cookie sounds good thoguh, perhaps I'll get some to mix with my winter hot cocoa.

I almost always use water/ice and a splash of soymilk in all shakes.

I hate milk.

Lady Lithia, why do you use Crystal Light?  Is it just to make it taste better?  I'm also in the experimenting phase and I've only tried the shakes with milk....and one with coffee and milk.  I have some of those Nectars but I haven't tried them yet....I'm scared lol.  I'm also not sure how much water to mix them with...they're the samples from Vitalady.

Body Fortress Whey Isolate.  I got it at Walmart.  It's a vanilla cream flavor. Costs about $21 and tastes really good.  1g carbs and 60g protein per 8 oz.
