Funny that you mention more protein because I was just thinking about doing my nectar cappuccino shakes for breakfast again. With the soy milk I use it is about 35 grams of protein. With that and my normal food routine I would be over 100 grams of protein. I probably need more water too. I am getting the 64 ounces but that is about it. I will try all of these things and see if that boosts my loss too. I never really had a long stall so maybe this is my bodies way of stalling me to adjust? 10lbs in almost 3 months is damn near a stall in my book.

I carry around bottles of water everywhere.  I keep a 6 pack from the dollar store in my car and drink sticks in my purse.  I probably drink close to a gallon, if not more.  I find the more I drink the thirstier I get.  If I think I might be hungry I try drinking a bottle of water and that usually takes care of it.  A lot of times what I think is hunger is usually thirst.   Especially in this heat.  I keep bottles of water in the freezer and then throw them in the car so that I have cold water if I need it while running around.
I have a protein shake in the morning and one at night everyday.  Sometimes one for a snack, too, besides my protein at meals.  I don't do well without at least 2 supplements a day.
With my first surgery I couldn't wait until I could stop the supplements and get all my protein from food.  I see how well that turned out so now I try to do everything differently then I did then.  Before I never worried about getting enough fluids, either.  I also stopped weighing myself regularly.  All things I see now contributed to my not doing well.  Hopefully I've learned from my mistakes.

I too am at the same time frame you are. my loss has slowed as well but by now shouldn't you be eating some fruit and veggies? if that menu is your typical day every day i would say you need to eat more, but in the form of veggies and fruit. if the only thing you are chewing a day is a strip of beef jerky and a few deli rolls you body is looking for that lean chicken or turkey breast, a steak - something of substance. just my .02 for what its worth. hang in there!

Thank you. I don't get very much in the way of fruits and veggies. The menu above is my typical day. I am really bad about eating the same things day in and day out. I did the same thing when I was on weigh****chers. I would eat the same thing every day every meal. I should switch things up a little.

Also, my mothers name is Addie :-)  Not a common name but I love it. I plan to name a daughter after her if I ever have a girl.

you're about a month ahead of me and my plan calls for 1500 calories a day. i don't eat that much, but i get around 1000-1200 a day.

i would say to increase your calories with fruits and veggies to make your meals balanced. i have fruit or veggies at every meal/snack i have.

Hi Christine. My wt loss has slowed down quite a bit as well, only 2-3 lbs every 3-4wks. You know I work out a lot & I am an avid believer that working out w/resistance & cardio does not only help wt loss but builds muscle making you smaller. Now remember, muscle is heavier than fat so you're number may not change as drastically but as I've been finding out most recently, I'm outgrowing clothes like crazy b/c of the muscle I'm building. I currently have 4 bags of clothes for you! I'm also eating 12-1400 cal daily. NO FRUITS is what Dr. Zare told me on my last visit, too much sugar. I'm still using my protein shakes & bars, got some new suggestions for you if your interested. Although your cappichino shake sounds quite tasty, you'll have to share that w/me. The walking is def a positive as well the jazzercise, keep it up! You prob should be eating more calories by now especially w/the walking & jazercise. You're body needs that fuel (the right fuel/foods) to accomodate the additional activity. I'm still getting 90-120g protein/day. I'm 25lbs from goal & I expect these last 25lbs will be stubborn but I have faith & am very pleased w/my results. You should be too, you are looking quite faulous yourself. Hang in there & hope to see you at the next meeting. -Kim
